I found this really useful information that may help people that have hair that tends to mat easily:

HOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF HAIR

Hair should be kept clean always [ Tangling occures when hair accumulates dirt or sweat ]. At least wash hair once or twice a week with cold or luke-warm clean water. Wash hair immediately after swimming, exercising, spa etc.

When you want to wash hair, fill a basin with cool or luke-warm clean water and add a dash of conditioning shampoo.

Soak hair for a couple of minutes and then wash it gently. Always wash hair in one direction in an upright position. Squeeze the conditioner with shampoo from top to bottom. Rinse and comb hair thoroughly with clean cold or luke-warm water. You can apply extra conditioner and comb or finger - comb the hair while the conditioner is on and rinse it with clean cold or luke-warm water again. NOTE: It is not advisable to brush hair when it is wet !!!.

Let the hair dry naturally at room temperature. When hair is dry you can brush/comb hair after each wash daily. When brushing the hair, please start from the bottom and work your way up, slowly to the top while holding the weft with the other hand to keep it from shedding.

Cover hair when swimming to prevent the hair from chlorine which may cause the hair to tangle. When you go to the spa, brush hair out completely and wrap hair in a cold wet towel.

**Form a habit of untangling the hair and making like two big braids before sleeping, exercising or swiming. Please NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR. Make sure your hair is completely dried before going to bed.**

Dilute the the conditioner (15% - 20%) with water (80% - 85%) to prevent dryness of the hair when you wash the hair. On a daily basis use light hair oil on wet hair.

For Variety, perming and dyeing are recommended to professional stylist only, DO NOT use curling iron or curling kits. Do not expose hair to excessive heat. Remember do not brush hair when it is wet. However it is advisable not to apply any other extra process to the hair because it is already a processed hair.

It is advisable to wet wavy or curly hair every morning with conditioner mixed with water as recommended in #7 above. Use braid sheen, moisturizing lotion, hair oil etc to prevent hair from dryness.
