my niece is 14 years old and she would like to grow her hair out. she can't seem to keep her hands out of it, so she is unable to retain length. her mother takes her to the salon every two weeks. ( i really wish she would find someone else to go to). she is a cheerleader and she plays softball. i would like to get her started on a regimen and give her a style that she can easily maintain herself, or her mother. i don't mind doing her hair once a week. she is 4a-4b and relaxed.

i know i can wash/dc her hair once a week
i would like to know how to do a nice twistout on relaxed/NL hair
also, i would like to know should she co-wash in between wash days?
how should she maintain her twistout at night and in the morning without creating frizz?

I restarted my hair journey after my fly haircut was further cut into a NL mess. Wasn't even the right shape! Anywho, I did a bunch of NL protective styles--which are in a playlist on my channel--and I also did braidouts and Bantu knot outs at that length. I also have tutorials on there for those. To maintain them I moisturized, sealed, re-braided, then sprayed with water to reset them every night.

HTH!
