Okay you all!

I need help. I am new to LHCF and just started this hair mission about 3 weeks ago. I am on a 12 week stretch and hoping to continue to 24 weeks until my next relaxer. I d/c every 5 days and co wash once in between the d/c. I do this because I do work out 5x a week and need to wash off the sweat build up. One thing I noticed is that I have a continuous problem with shedding. I've tried aphogee intensive keratin reconstructer for 2 minutes on one shampoo wash and when I still saw shedding I than did the aphogee 2-step protein treatment with my next wash. Nothings working.

What am I doing wrong? or lacking?

Is this normal to put your fingers through your hair and having hair come out?

Everyone is welcome to give me some input PLEASE!

Hey ya'll.
:wavey:

Well many ppl here swear by garlic to combat shedding issues. This product is mentioned:

Never tried it.
....and there's nothing wrong with spending money but if it's garlic that stops shedding:ohwell:...well call me crazy but you ain't gotta spend $20.00 for garlic!
I would finely mince some cloves, throw it in my cowash/dc or jojoba. Slather it all over my head. Massage. Throw a bag on it and let it marinate. See if I could achieve results that way, first.
Then I'd buy something, (maybe).

But just keep in mind that shedding is natural process. Hair enters phases. You hair HAS to go through it's life-cycle. Perhaps you just shed more at this time of year.
Personally I shed like a persian cat on black microfiber sofa in the winter. Last year I thought something was wrong with me. I had my sometimes beautician checking my head every 5 minutes like, "You see anything? Does it look damaged?" It was ridiculous.
But those are my thoughts n the matter.

Anywho

Also: HOw is you diet?
Are you eating properly?
Did you just have a child?
Are you taking any medication?

Thanks Phoenixx!!! I think I will definitely give garlic a try. Today is a wash day so I will mix it with my d/c like you mentioned. It just drives me crazy to see my hair strands coming out like that especially when I have very fine hair. It will never thicken up if it continues shedding. Right?

Thanks for the thread. I will check it out.
