Ladies who relax & get braids

What type of braid styles do you get? How do you care for your hair while in braids? How long after a relaxer do you get braids? I would like to get something that wouldn't be too damaging. TIA for any & all info given.

I normally get micro braids in medium. I get them done about 2 months after a relaxer but 5 months ago I made the mistake and did them a few days after. My regime is, I wash and deep condition every two weeks and spray african royale daily.

My edges are already thin how does having relax hair with braids affect your edges once you take the braids out?
