Married Ladies-Who did your wedding day hair?

my hair always turns out horribly when i have somewhere important to go. if you have any doubt have a professional do it. you're going to be so nervous, busy and short on time. you'll need somebody you can trust to get you in and out of that seat

my hair was done in a spa/salon by a white girl. she specialized in updos and weddings and it took her about 25 minutes. the total price was $25 for a practice updo (to find out what you like, take pictures, check color, etc...) the real deal was about $45. i can't remember exactly lol. oh and she did the updo only. i washed it and let her curl it and pin it.

my makeup was done by mac. i also had a practice run through with them. to check colors, take pictures, make changes, etc... they also offer invaluable advice on what looks good in pictures. they recommend you have a slighter "darker" look than you want because the colors are hard to pick up in photos. i went home and took practice pics and she was right. the make-up looked heavy but just right in pics.

I did my own hair, I used a fall with nice curls it was BSL and I wore a rhinestone headband and my viel.

I did my own makeup. Covergirl and some lipgloss and mascara. Simple and purtay

This is a great question, I was going to ask the same thing. I'm getting married in August and have no idea what to have done to my hair. I would like spiral curls but I want it long and full so I might have to get a weave but I'm scared, I dont want my hair to get messed up.

Those of you who are married, who did your hair and what did they do to it? Did any of you do your hair yourselves? Do you have any pics of your hair style? What styles are appropriate for brides?

Those who aren't married, would you do your hair yourselves, why/why not?

Also, who did your make up and what shades did you wear? What brand and did it last all day?

A beautician did my hair in a side-swept French twist. It was very pretty. I think classic hair styles are the best for brides. I didn't want to look at my wedding pics in 10 years and hate my hair!

As for make-up, I had a professional make-up artist. She did eyelash extensions (they were fabulous!) and used lots of different brands, some were mine others hers. We did a trial run for my Bridal Shower. My foundation was LORAC liquid, it looked really nice and lasted all day. The shadow was Bobbi Brown, she used a primer first and it lasted. The lipstick was Bobbi Brown as well. The lip liner MAC. Blush was MAC, I think. If you want the exact colors PM me.

I was very pleased with how I looked on the big day.
