Kinky twists are easy to do yourself. If you do them yourself, you can wash and condition them as much as you want because if they loosen up, you can just go through and redo them. I will go through mine and put shea butter on the hair before I retwist that section. That way I keep my real hair moisturized. Trust me, if your hair is getting damaged in the front, it is getting damaged in other places too, you just don't feel them yet. I am so sorry to say this but alot of stylist don't care about your real hair, they just care about the finished results. To this day, I have a spot in my hairline that has not grown back from damage done by African braiders over 10 years ago.
