MoroccanOil Treatment......

Has anyone tried MoroccanOil?

I went to get my hair done yesterday at the salon and addressed to my stylist that I did not want to get my ends trimmed even though they are a bit uneven. She said they were overall healthy but if I didn't get them trimmed they will break. I stayed strong in my position and she eventually gave up. She then proceed to suggest a treatment that her salon just started doing, and by golly, I am in love!:love2:. My hair was left so soft but yet very strong. My stylist is dominican, so she did my usual blow-out (roots-only). I am trying to borrow my BF camera so that I can take pics to post.

I was looking at this. From what I understand though is that is it just argan oil which if it is, I can buy cheaper.

:yep:

I've heard of this line - it all has argan oil in it - that's another oil I'd like to try if I could ever find it for a semi-reasonable price.......

Argan oil? :perplexed
Can someone tell me the benefits of that oil?

My stylist stated that the treatment is good for mending split ends/dry hair. She really didnt educate me on the full benefits. She just suggested that I receive this treatment every two weeks for a couple of months. If I don't see any major changes within 3 months, I will stop the treatment.

that oil is EXPENSIVE on ebay i think like 40+ dollars for it up to 100. but i am wanting to try it ... and i am mad we have no salons that do this in my city..

My hairdresser uses the oil on me. I feel like I can get the same results with other oils though. I just don't know if there are hidden benefits. I was just thinking about the aesthetics. It does smell super nice. I've never tried the other treatments though.

Bought it and absolutely love it. I am amazed at its ability to hold moisture in my dry hair. I got the Moroccan oil and the argan oil it's based on. Will be buying argan oil again. I've found my magic bullet. Oh yeah...the wrinkle thing..I put some on my scowl lines (between the brows) and it lessened the look of the lines...Honest

I found this on the internet. Thanks! I'm going to check into this ONCE I GET OFF OF MY BUY NOTHING CHALLENGE...dayum!

Argan oil

Argan oil comes from the nuts of the Argan tree (Argania spinosa).
This tree is unknown for many people since it grows only in the South Western part of Morocco in an area covering 700,000-800,000 hectares.
The argan tree produces nuts from which is extracted a very nutritious oil.
The remaining is used to feed the cattle and nuts shells for heating. Nothing is lost.
For centuries, Berber women of this region have produced argan oil which was used for their consumption and traditional Moroccan medicine.
People abroad are more and more interested in this oil either for its cosmetic and nutritional properties.

Yawl should know I have it:lachen: and I really like it, especially because it's light and doesn't make your hair feel greasy. I also purchased the masque and really like it too. The good thing is you don't really need to use a lot of it, so it will last a long time.

Too funny ...Tuesday I went to the distributor in my area " for you Canadian gals ...Movements Hair salon in Etobicoke' the small bottle was $45....I'm still thinking about it ...if anyone finds a more inexpensive carrier ...let me know please ..my curiosity is peaked:yep:

Wow, I was just recommending this oil to one of the Beckies who works with me. She's only 24 with crow's feet, so I recommended the oil.

I got a couple of bottles of argan oil in Morocco last year. I won't tell you how much I paid for it.

go to fromnaturewithlove.com. i have purchased several oils, butters from there over the past 5 years. i am a skin care junkie!!!

As soon as I get the cash, this is going to be a staple for me. Typically, I don't do well with hair oils but I like this one. Very moisturizing and it leaves my hair very soft. It also lasts all day, but without being greasy. I want to try other products in the line. Well worth the $40.

It has been almost 2 months since I posted this thread and I must say that I really like this product! It is light and it keeps my hair from feeling brittle and hard. As mention in my earlier post, I use it every two weeks. I just might have to make it one of my staples:yep:
