Hello ladies (and the rare gentleman)!!!
I've been a member of the board for a few weeks now, thanks to my bestest hair buddy "cutebajangrl"(oops, med school buddy too..forgot about the school thing
. I've learnt a lot from all your posts and I look forward to participating in the future.

I started airdrying solely for the past 5-6 weeks, and I've been doind braid-outs with moderate success.

I need to learn now how to make a BUN, so that i can wear my hair relatively straight once in a while.

Can anyone give me a step-by-step Idiot's guide to making a bun (both wet and dry)?
Thanks a lot!!!
Orelwa.

Special wassup to all my NYC hair friends

Welcome to the Board!

If you will gather your hair into a ponytail (but don't secure it with anything, just your hand) and twist it to the ends, then begin to wrap it the twist into a "circle" against your head, you'll have a great bun! I hope you got all that.

Many of us use the Good Hair Days Hair Pins to Secure. (thanks Allandra)

They can be found at places like Sally's and Ulta.

Thanks everyone for the very warm welcome!!!
I will try and get some pictures online shortly, to begin my hair growth and maintenance documentation.
Your bun tips are great, I will try them out after my next wash
