that you use that does not make your hair feel rough and hard. I'm transitioning and have about 7 inches of relaxed hair. Right now I'm using both the AO honeysuckle rose poo and conditioner. I love the conditioner, but the shampoo makes my hair hard and it tangles:mad: . I've read about the sulfates and parabens. The pickings are very slim at the BSS and drug store.

Next question, What is the best natural/organic products for bath gel and lotion/mositurizer. You know that some of the popular brands, Vic Secret, Bath and Body Works has the harsh chemicals in it too. Please advise.

I recently picked up Giovanni tea tree poo and con from Whole Foods and I liked it. The poo didn't make my hair hard or tangled.
As for body products. The bodyshop is all natural. That's where I get all of my shwr gels, soaps, makeup etc.
HTH :)

Shampoo - J/A/S/O/N Sea Kelp shampoo

Shower/Bath gel - J/A/S/O/N Satin Shower

Lotion - Aubrey's, Giovanni, & J/A/S/O/N all make really great ones. You should check Trader Joe's or Whole Foods Market...they've got lots of great ones to choose from.

Progress...not perfection
I don't recall anyone having anything good to say about the AO shampoos. I ended up using mine as a body wash and shampoo for my hair brushes. My fav shampoo right now is Giovanni's magnetic shampoo. The conditioner is great too. I dont shampoo often tho.

i don't know if it's the best, but i sure do love Trader Joe's Nourish shampoo (and their conditioner is my fave! ). it is cleansing but not drying, and still foams up nicely unlike AO shampoos.

I use diluted castile soap w/ peppermint oil to wash my hair once a week. I also do co-washes daily with AO Honeysuckle Rose, AO GPB, or TJ's conditioner. My hair is happy.

Its not 100% organic but... the Aveda Damage Remedy line is like  . I love it! I~thought it would make my hair hard and tangled b/c I too am transitioning with 6 1/2 inches of ng and 6 inches of relaxed ends.
I just tried a sample of it a few days ago. If you go to a retailer they may give you a free sample. That was the only way I would try it because its 24 bucks a bottle.... Oh well. You get what you pay for, right? No more CON poo for me!!

I low poo. Usually I mix tea tree oil w/condish. When I do shampoo I used Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Poo. I really like it.

i was having a tough time finding a natural poo that didn't leave my hair really dry or leave a gummy coating (dr bonner's gummy, aubrey's dry and burt's bee's - a hot mess!) but went into Big Lot's the other day and noticed they had Nature's Gate poo's on sale for $1.50. So i got the Aloe one and the Jojoba.

Tried both and am LOVING Aloe Vera!!!! Now, it's not 100% natural as it has Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it but it is certainly mild, non drying and leaves my hair easy easy easy to detangle - and that's sayin something for a transitioning sistah! i'm working with 7-8 inches of natural hair and the rest is relaxed and get that wierd dandruff thing going on so i'll know immediately if the shampoo is causing a problem!!

if you've got a Big Lot's near you, it'd be worth a shot at $1.50. at least try it.
