(I love co washes cause I can really blow through these as a first conditioner or shampoo pretreatment)

-Mango Butter (not Elasta QP tried Tree Hut brand, can’t stand the smell)
(I’ve decided I don’t care for the fruit bowl smell)
-Paul Mitchel’s The Detangler (promised a lot, didn’t deliver)
-Motions CPR (can’t take the smell or the debris, herbs, straw & grass)
-LUST (I know, I know but it did nothing for me)

Luster’s Moisture Max
Lekair’s conditioning styling protein gel (pink)

Brook007,
I'm thinking about trying one of the VO5's for conditioning rinse. Could you please tell me which one would you recommend for the most moisturing result and smell.
Thanx
High Priestess

Oh by the way, do they contain alcohol?

I'm on the July Challenge. Therefore, I don't have anything.
Just wait until August though.

High Priestess, none of them did much for me. But the most popular one on LHCF seems to be V05 Strawberries & Cream Smoothing Conditioner. Try that one, heard they are on sale at Wal-mart from $.50 to .89 depending on your area. Let us know what your results are!

Hits: VO5 conditioners in strawberry and cream and kiwi lime squeeze. Also, Professional RX protein conditioner, herbal essence light weight leave in conditioner, and of course profectives healthy ends cream.

Misses: none!

Victorian

This is my first month taking serious care of my hair. So exciting!
Hits:
Coconut Oil (great on ashy elbows too
)
Profectiv break-free
condition washes

Undecided:
--Aphogee Pro-vitamin leave-in--I guess I like it but it isn't marvelous or anything.

Misses:
--Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair--It stinks and I can't tell if it's doing anything. I'd rather use a cheaper, gentler shampoo. Maybe my sister wants it...

--profectiv healthy ends--it's too thick and heavy for daily use. It's gonna last a while though because I use so little at a time. I like just using break-free on all my hair.

Gotta Try:
I'm gonna be rockin more organic stuff starting in august. As a matter of fact, I just whipped out my visa and ordered some AO GPB (I FINALLY have a protein conditioner) and aloe vera gel so it can be here when august begins

I'm gonna be trying out some moisturizing conditioners too

Please let me know how you like this leave-in. I've used the Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner and I was impressed by both, especially the shampoo!

Tee, I am quite pleased with the leave-in. I got samples of the Hydrate shampoo and conditioner, as well as reconstructor, which left my scalp feeling cool and refreshed. I'm glad you like this line too.

Ohhhh, so you are already using it! I read too fast and thought it was on your to-try list. Well, since you like it so much, it is now on my to-try list.

Hits:

Big Hit: my vitamin regime... it isn't overwhelming and it leads me to my gotta try.

Gotta Try: Elucence Gentle Lye relaxer -- 4 weeks after my touch up with marvin I am looking forward to my next touch up! Amazin!

Misses:

My shower system. I have hard water. Hair would come out drier with repeated conditioner washes.

Kerastase Oleo Relax Smoothing Shampoo. Nahhh, didn't like this. Has an SLS ingredient too and I still tried it. The Lanza Straight Line Shampoo does the job much better and doesn't have the drying ingredients.

Kerastase Smoothing Serum. Not sure but it didn't blow my rocks off like Keracare Silken Seal.

Hits:

Royale Shower Filter. This is brilliant. I have noticed a difference from the first use. My hair dries softer. My b/f noticed his hair is softer too and he has zero interest in hair care.

Elysian Avocado Oil (been mixing it with conditioners and its great)

African Royale Hot Six Oil. I've been using this throughout July and boy I like this, esp for braid outs. It seals in moisture so hair dries soft and shinier.

Got to Try:

Lanza Straight Line Conditioner
Silk bandana scarves
