Products that improve the condition of your hair...

Hi ladies,

What are the key products that you feel have improved the condition of your hair over time ?

I really believe that Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor has improved the overall health of my hair by making it stronger and less likely to break which has allowed me to retain more length (and reach arm pit length again after some run-ins with scissor happy stylists ).

I also believe that the Affirm FiberGuard Sustenance Fortifying Conditioner will further strengthen the inner cuticle layers of my hair but I haven't opened the bottle yet. :)

Finally, KeraCare Humecto has improved the moisture level of my hair and allowed me to retain more length overtime than when I've used other moisturizing conditioners.

Note: I'm not an Avlon or KeraCare Representative but I should be,lol.

I personally do not think there is a product or products that can improve the condition of your hair. I feel that your main objective is to always keep your hair in top condition by treating it with care that way you do not have to worry about improving the condition since your hair will be right to start with. Nothing can repair or improve your hair once you mess it up. Do not belive the hype. Just take care of your hair to start with. JMHO

"Proper Care" is the answer to your question.

I believe that you can improve the condition of hair, before LHCF my hair was very dry and used to break a lot, with the addition of proper hair care methods and correct products my hair became moisturised and strong thus reducing hair loss and more growth retention. The key products that have helped me in my relaxed journey are non drying poos like CON, and conditioners like joico, motions and aphogee.

well yall gonna kill me for shouting out humectress again. I should be getting paid for this.

But really, its your conditioner of choice. Deep conditioning truly turned my hair around for the better, in addition to daily moisturizing. Find the conditioner that works best for your hair and and use it consistently and you will see great results especially for those who didnt condition on a regular basis.

Thanks ladies, I appreciate all of your advice, please keep the tips coming!

I had a hair disaster when I was a pre-teen due to relaxer overprocessing and it took three years to begin to retain length. Looking back I realized that I did not begin to retain length until the overall condition of my hair improved.

I believe certain products have helped in terms of strenthening and moisturizing thus reducing breakage from daily manipulation such as combing, but definitely healthier eating habits, regular exercise, additional water intake, and taking better care of my hair in general all played major roles in giving me a head full of longer healthier hair. :)

I really believe or should say that I know that Humectress is what turned my hair around. I visited the salon every week and they used whatever poo and con that they had available. But once I started bringing my own the overall health of my hair has improved. Also the methods are also important

Optimum Care Collagen Shampoo(Triple Protecting Shampoo)
Hask Placenta Manage Damage Conditioner conditioner
African Healing Oyl

each product is very effective on its own, but the combination COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED my hair in few months. The conditioner on its own is an excellent conditioner if you want one with amazing slip and softening abilities.
When I first "healed" my hair I was only using these three products...and nothing else. I don't know why I ever switched up.

Henna and WGO. The henna actually bonds with the protein in the hair, improving it's appearance and texture. WGO has great ingriedients that make my hair feel and look better.

Henna mixed with yogurt has been WONDERFUL for me!

Also Motions Moisture Plus conditioner has been great in helping me maintain a good moisture balance.

I think doing each of these weekly about 3 days apart has really been great.

MSM crystals have also helped, as well. I think it is helping my new growth softer.
