Relax... Megatek...Neutralize...Aphogee 2 min recon.??

I haven't relaxed my head in a very long time but I was just curious...

Could someone relax their hair (no lye or lye) and then use megatek after they rinse off the relaxer and then neutralize and after that use the Aphogee 2 min reconstructor? Would that make the relaxed hair stronger than usual?

Could someone put megatek in the relaxer without issues?

Just curious...did someone try this before?

Hi Pink219...

You could use Megatek afterwards - but I would not recommend using the Aphogee 2 minute - after neutralizing I would go with a moisturizing condish...

I would just use the Aphogee 2 minute after relaxing and maybe a week or 2 after relaxing using the megatek and following up with a moisturizing dc...

The Aphogee 2 minute has components that will bring down your PH and that is one of the objectives of the "mid-step" treatment...

As far as putting Megatek in the relaxer..I don't think that would be an issue...I put Keratin Amino Acids and Hydrolyzed Keratin in mine...but you may want to use it sparingly...
