Relaxed hair reverts?

Gentle relaxers
Ultrarich conditioners are mixed with straightening agents like ammonia to minimize damage while taming the natural wave. Though you'll still need to blow-dry hair to get it completely straight, it will take less time and effort.
Who has done it: Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell at Lisa Mitchell Salon
Works best for: Untreated and minimally colored (highlights and single-process) African-American or Caucasian hair; it's too damaging for double-processed or permed hair.
How it works: the relaxing solution sits on the hair for 10 to 25 minutes before it's thoroughly rinsed out. A deep conditioner is applied, followed by a neutralizer.
How long it lasts: Three to six months. Unlike thermally reconditioned hair, relaxed hair will eventually revert to its natural wave.

HUH?? Relaxed hair reverts?

I've heard people say that but I don't believe that to be true. A relaxer completely breaks down the chemical bonds in your hair, so there is no way for that to revert.

If that was the case then there would be no such thing as transitioning and we wouldn't have to cut off relaxed hair to get there!
