Smileys and paragraphs

For some reason, when I respond to a thread, my smileys are not workikng, and even though I have put paragraphs in my posts, it comes out as one big unreadable lump. Any help please? Oh and my quick reply isn't working either.

The forum is still being worked on, so hopefully this will be fixed soon.
