tourmaline heat appliances

does anyone use anything with tourmaline technology (curling iron, hooded dryer, flat iron etc)?

I'm looking to purchase a tourmaline hair dryer, and they are VERY expensive. I started blow drying my hair again and wanted to know if anyone here thinks tourmaline appliances are less harsh on their hair?

I think ionic hair dryers are less harsh, but they're still hair dryers...meaning that when I used them, my hair was still much dryer than necessary. Ionic hooded dryers are the bomb. The set comes out smoother, softer, and shinier. Ionic flat irons are also better since they help the hair retain more moisture even though it's being slapped with heat.

I have a tourmaline-ionic blowdryer and I think it does help with moisture-retention in comparison to a regular blowdryer. I could really tell a difference after I used the tourmaline blowdryer.
