WEN Fig Review

I have my regi down pat, and I'm eliminating products from my closet(mostly SLS shampoos) slowly but surely, but once in a while I'll try a product that I think will work for me.

Wen. It is Good. I chose the Fig one. It truly leaves your hair so so moisturized. My hair loves heavy oils and moisture, so this worked for me. My hair has stayed moisturized well for two days now. Of course I still do my regular twice daily moisturizing, but I can see that if you used this product exclusively that your hair would never get the chance to get dry. After I used it and combed my wet hair out (absolutely no need for detangler) my hair felt heavy with moisture and oil. Not top oily, but strand thick and plump with oil. It also left my scalp with a slight tingle. Not sure which ingredient does this, but it was nice, particularly if you are weaning yourself off of SLS shampoo, but miss the deep down squeaky clean feel.

Unfortunately I don't think it will become a staple of mine because it is just too expensive.

I will never knock anyone here for doing their own thing. However I just found this link because after researching, I found that BHT is in the product. It has tuolene in it which is toxic. So I guess I will continue using my own mocked up product.
Thanks for posting though.

Thanks to the OP for your review of Wen Fig. I am contemplating buying this product and because of your review, I probably will. I know it is pricey compared to other products on the market, but I think it will be worth the money.

Also, I do not like when companies put you on their auto-ship plan, which WEN does, so I will probably buy it on Amazon or Ebay to avoid that. I have a lot of shampoo and conditioner products in my arsenal and I do not know yet if I will be using it to the extent that justifies regular shipments anyway.

I don't know if you were referring to WEN or the knock-off product, but here is a list of ingredients in WEN Fig:

Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Wild Cherry Fruit Extract, Fig Extract, Chamomile Extract, Marigold Flower Extract, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Amodimethicone, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Polysorbate 60, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B-5), Menthol, Sweet Almond Oil, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Methlisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Essential Oils.

I got this off of Amazon.com website. See: http://www.amazon.com/WEN-Fig-Clean...sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1282613684&sr=8-1

It has neither BHT nor tuolene.

Now, I am ready to try Wen and can't find a payment plan. I looked on QVC and they have a 4 piece Fig, but no payment plan. :-(

^^^I got my WEN (which I hate and only used once) FREE from curlmart. I guess they were overstocked because I ordered something else and they threw that in there for free. It was too much work for me. Too light for a head of hair like mine.

I am a true WEN-a-holic. I like that you can use it as a co-wash, DC and leave in. I have the Pomegrante, but haven't tried it yet.

Saw the pomegranate but did not want to order any more Sweet Almond {love it!!}which comes in the POM set...have enough for many months. Wish it were available alone but Chaz said not until 2011.
