What does it mean when the split end is in the midle of the strand?

I always have split ends in the middle of my strand, never never at the end? Does this mean something in particular? If so, I want to stop doing it.

I think it means the split on the end traveled up the shaft. I dont know what to say about stopping it...i always have a few of them here and there

I had a lot before coming to the forum. Now that I have changed my shampoos, conditioners, and almost never use heat, I don't see it anymore. Do you use a blow dryer?

The middle ones happen. The split didn't travel up it's just that there was some damage in the middle section. Cause if you look the ends are not split just that middle section. Do you use a lot of heat?

I don;t use heat at all. I think it was because my hair was underprocessed. I relaxed 3 days ago and since then my hair has had no breakage, and I have been keeping it super moist by combining essential fatty acids with mango butter. right now I am really happy with the hair. thanks.
