I tweaked my regimen so tough that I can't believe that I really didn't need all of the products I purchased. I gave them away at a recent hair meeting. What about you ladies?

Girl, I try... :look:

but I know that I use 12 and they're all on heavy rotation...
One of the products I only use a week before a relaxer, the other I only use in the winter and would NEVER use in the summer. The rest are pretty much a 2 week change up. I guess it depends on the weather (DE gets damn cold!) and the style I'm going for....

For real? What are they?

Starting from the Shampoo process right? I don't always use all of these at the same time. But I use Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner. For my Deep Conditioner I've been using Fantasia's Deep Penetrating Conditioner. I was using ORS Paks before but I like that better.

And then use the Humectress as a Leave In and the blue Fantasia gel for my styles. I recently tried the Green Sun Silk Creme and it's pretty good for a leave in so I might be switching to that because it's cheaper. I've tried other products but I always return back to these few.

On most days I just add the Humectress and the Fantasia gel to wet hair and that's it. I only shampoo and DC once a week.

I tryna get down to very few staples.

I only use one brand of soap, one brand of deoderant, one brand of lotion and toothpaste, so why must things get sooo complicated with my hair?

My ideal minimal products will be

Serum: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny
Shampoo: Pantene Moisterizing
Conditioner: Aveda DR or AO Honeysuckle Rose
Reconstructor: Aphogee 2 minute
Oil: Coconut
Detangler/leave in: Pantene Detangling mist

I could do just fine with these...I think:look:
I'm so ready to narrow it all down.

I don't use more than 7 products.

Does anyone!? I mean even with shampoo, conditioner, leave in, serum moisturizer and oil you can't really use too many on a weekly basis.

I mean I am sure people OWN more than they actually use.

I would love to know who DOES use more than 7 and what and how they use it because that seems like a lot.

Now, you are talking about regular usage, not the occasional experiements, right? :lachen:

In that case - I use four.

1) Cheapie Conditioner (I lump that one together cuz the brand really doesn't matter)
2) Elasta QP Intense Moisturizing Conditioner
3) Henna
4) Glycerin

Okay, I could go to five, if I could pin down my 'hair treatment'. It's usually something made from some of the supplies I have or the CoN Carrot Oil Moisturizer .... but if I had to go to a deserted island or something - those four above would be what's in my bag, plus my bone comb and my Denman.

Crackers Phinn

Either A Blessing Or A Lesson.
For my everyday puff

Ion clarifying poo
Biolage Ultra hydrating poo
NTM Hair Mask

Aveda Be Curly
WGO
Fantasia IC w/sparkelites (blue)

The only change when I wear twists is that I wash with a natural shampoo and conditioner and I use the loc and twist gel to put the twists in.

Thats funny, i try to keep my maxium at exactly 7.
What are yours...I love your hair.

1. Cream of nature shampoo
2. Coconut oil (use for body also)
3. Carefree Moisturizer
4. Gel for edges
5. ACV (use for bath, and in my water also)
6. Egg whites or Aphogee kertain spray

Im debating whether to use a deepconditoner weekly, a serum, or a clear rinse.

I have 2 products for heatstyling, and lots of oilsheens for fun/hair scents.

Im trying to get a really simple regimen for 2008---so im also debating whether to do any more aphogee treatments (i usually buy on do on implulse) and whether to continue dying my hair black.

for co-washing days, I only use 5 products, im thinking about using mango butter on my ends before I use the serum or using it instead of care free curl.
1. V05 conditioner
2. Lacio Lacio
3. care free curl
4. castor oil
5. fantasia serum

I'm still trying to figure out my regimen for regular wash days. most of the time, i'll use atleast 7 different products on those days.
1. clarifying poo
2. moisturizing poo
3. protein treatment and/or moisturizing conditioner
4. lacio lacio
5. castor oil
6. serum
7. some type of moisturizer after I take out my rollers if I rollerset.

I don't know how mine would break down.. I mix everything. I rarely use products straight from the bottle.

To my conditioner, I add jojoba oil.
I don't use shampoo
I dc with a mix of cholesterol and other cons
I use vatika and alma oil on my hair the night before I co wash
and my moisturizer is a mix of shea/aloe/carrot creme/ etc..

so I guess that puts me over the 7 product limit. :ohwell:

all i need...

conditioner (using more than one)
moisturizer/leave-in (loving NTM silk touch)
aphogee treatments (obviously not using this that often)

i use shampoo sometimes
but i could do without it
and just use baking soda

i think i'm going to give up on oils
my hair does pretty ok with castor oil
i was loving it for a while.
but i've realized that it does better without it.

i dont do too many extras.
i kinda OD on conditioner, though haha.
