Here is a start for explaining why King James is so accurate. I learned about this in a theology class in much more detail. I was surprised myself.

Hey, that is very interesting. All the corrections and revisions in plain view. IMO, i dont believe that EVERYTHING gets lost in translation. Translation made me read the bible. I gained something from it.

I love my New Living Translation. Just like GV-NA i had a very strong aversion to anything King James since childhood and refused to read it.

Also realized that many adults don't know how to interpret it either because I would ask as a child and they would get just as frustrated. It's worse when you dont have a pastor to help you interpret it either and he just reads verbatim with no explaination or comparison of events in 2009.

I remember when a Pastor challenged us. He asked us to read a verse in our King James Bible and asked us what it meant. Half the pew had it WRONG. He corrected the elders and all. All those years we saw the text but did not fully understand it.

Use the King James as a reference instead as I do. I go online and look up scriptures in several versions. But I make sure they agree before I apply it in my life.

I generally use the NKJV and the KJV due to accuracy. In certain cases when I read another version, I like to compare the verses to the NKJV.

and looking at the chart i just could not believe when it said omitted, so i checked on Biblegateway, where they have a whooole lot of translations, and it's true, u see it skip, goes from verse 9 to 11 just like that, smhhhhh.

Oh my. . .my my. I knew it was serious but wow. smh . See how the enemy will try to casually "omit" things to fool us. It takes those with discernment and wisdom and enough knowledge to seek God on these things. Thanks for posting this. Some Bible's just don't feel right in the spirit. I guess that is why some people who are against Jesus as being God's son or against God altogether are repulsed by the Holy Bible esp the King James. They know it holds the truth and that truth would mean their death for denying that truth. Hallelujiah.

Unless we have the original Hebrew/Greek text, I think it would be difficult to say what was deleted and/or added to either translation. We're basically comparing different translations. I use various translations when studying. I stay away from the paraphrased bibles though.

Well either you believe the Lord had made his word and message and plan of salvation available to the multitude or you don't lol

i don't believe i need the greek or hebrew text for that

these translations on the other hand leave out key elements to believing right and getting saved
