i am so ANGRY right now (OCT related)

So I've been hearing about OCT and how awesome it was for quite awhile now. I've BEEN wanted to get it but I never had the money for it. So my student loans came in recently and I finally bought it. It was supposed to come in today and i was SUPER excited. I read up on all the threads for it and trying to figure out how to use it for maximum results, was looking at pictures, the whole 9. Just getting myself hyped up for when it comes right?

So today's the day. I was sleep and my bf woke me up and told me he just checked the mail and my OCT wasn't in there. (I've been talking about it for awhile and he knew how excited i was about it, and how much I was looking forward for it to get here.)
I told him though that it wouldn't be in the mail cause it was a FEDex. He said ok, but then paused for a minute and said.."well the FEDex guy already came and the girl next door got her delivery." So now I'm like . oookay. I go online to check up on the tracking number and see where it was. I then saw I got an email already saying it's been delivered. there was no one home and they left it outside.

I check outside nothing's there. meanwhile the girl next door has a FedEx sticker on her door. it was one of those "no one was home but we left the package on your doorstep cause no one was home." type stickers. but there was nothing on her doorstep. So I wasn't sure what to think. My bf suggested we check the front office. We went but..surprise, surprise, nothing was there for me.

I called the FEDex customer service and they told me that they delivered it and no one was home and they left it on the doorstep. I inform them I in fact WAS home and I didn't get anything. The customer service lady said she will forward the message and i should get a phone call w.in an hr. (an hr just passed, no call yet)

I thought maybe the girl got my package and just didn't know who it was for. My bf mentioned he had heard knocking on her door and later saw that she went outside and got a package from her doorstep and went back inside her house. So I decide to just go ask her. She says that she didn't get anything but if she does she'll let me know. She promises. Meanwhile I'm looking at the big FEDex sticker on her door. But what can I say? The chick said she didn't have it. I can't rush into her house and check myself.

So now i don't know what to do. I'm so ANGRY. I don't know whether to laugh or cry or who to call. I mean I've wanted this for so long. And of course I didn't check the option that for $2 extra if my mail gets lost or anything I can get another free one from ovation. I figured that never happens anyway. Now I'm screwed.

And another thing I just saw. The sticker is no longer on this girls door. Which really leads me to believe she took it. She probably opened it saw what it said about growing your hair down to your *** and decided she wanted to keep it.
Idk what to do ladies. I'm so upset. Any advice will be good advice. Any consolation is welcome. TIA

I think you should call Fedex again since it's been over an hour and again let them know you were home all day and no one delivered your stuff. I would also mention that you believe they delivered it to your next door neighbor, not you. I would keep harrasing the heck out of them until something worked out in my favor. Good luck

Wow I'm sorry this happened. I would take it up with Fed Ex, like another posted suggested. Tell them the situation and asked them how can you find out for sure if it was left at the correct door. I don't know, good luck though.

Yea I just called FEDex again and they said it can take up to 24 hrs. to get a call back not 1hr like the other rep told me. And it really is there fault but other than calling them and having them tell me they'll get back to me, what can i do? The lady I talked to just now transferred me to their turnstile office (w/e that means) and said she couldn't give me the number to call them back but I can leave a message.

I used to work for Fedex and in that situation, since the driver driver released the package and to the wrong addr, you have to file a claim with that terminal and then the investigate it. Since he delivered it to the wrong addr, there's a 99% chance that the driver will have to pay that claim. Thats why whenever I order something online or ship anything out, I make sure to tell them to don't driver release the pkg so that they can't make the delivery without a signature.

yea.. looking back at it i feel like an idiot for not spending that 2 extra dollars and now it looks like i might've lost 60 all b/c i was being stingy. its just that it never happens to me. i ALWAYS get my packages. so i figured that was just their way to scam an extra 2 bucks out of u.

wow.. thanks alot. that sounds like such a hassle tho. and i know it's probably gonna take awhile before everything is done being processed and I get my money back. but really what if he said it wasnt on the wrong door. won't it be his word against mine? and i thought they would automatically make it so that you have to sign. i didn't realize til today you have to go on the website to request that.

That happened to me once so I FEEL you. I left my school books at a relatives house while studying on vacation. The books cost like $200. My relatives shipped them back to me, I scraped up $25 to give them for the shipping, and they turned around and gave it to the man next door to me. One of my neighbors actually came and told me they saw the neighbor getting the books. I asked the man camly and he got mad and said he got nothing. I really needed my dam books because I had tests coming and my GPA couldnt not afford any bad grades...sure didnt have $200 to buy them again. SMH. Then I didnt know what to do at all because there was so much confusion going on about what my relatives wrote, and whose fault it actually was the postoffice's or mine.

But I think this should be fairly easy for the Fedex people to figure out with you ordering from the site, paying them, them leaving that thing on the girls door....I know there has to be some kind of records around here somewhere.

In the meantime there are like 8 weeks and 4/5 days untill the newyear, maybe you can make it an "it all worked out as planned anyway" with a new date when you will begin using it till like new years or some other special day you want growth for.

yea..now im sooo wishing i got that $2 insurance. I doubt the same thing will happen to you tho but I'll pray it doesn't. this is SO not cool. someone just got something for nothing. and i got hosed.

lesson number1: ALWAYS go to fedex.com and select the signature required option.
lesson number2: get the damn insurance.

yea.. I think thats the only choice I have right now. is to let fed-ex deal w. it. its just sucks cause i wanted it so BAD. since we're all hair addicts here I know you guys know how it feels to be impatiently waiting for a hair product to come in the mail and imagine yourself doing your hair w. it and wondering what results it would yield.

and now that me and my bf were talking about it. we don't think she's THAT sweet. i mean SHE seems to be but the type of ppl we see coming in and out of her house seem like complete douchebags.

this is straight bull, you paid for a service that you did not receive from FedEx, the 2 dollar insurance covers damage but does not excuse them from fulfilling their obligation.
I am sorry to hear this, take it up with OCT and FedEx, but I really would just go tell the neighbor that they said it was delivered to her, and that they would be back on Monday to investigate and see how she behaves, its worth a shot

i know so -to make a long story short, and not too complicated fed ex and UPS will reimburse the shipper - the shipper reimburses you or reships the item to you. trust me, oct will lose nothing from this. i am a business owner which is why i know.

Heck no I ended up having to wait 2 weeks untill I got my $150 weekend job paycheck and getting the rest from my parents, and durin those 2 weeks getting an F on some book homework assignment, and for the next 2 weeks untill my next check having no gas or food money. Glad thats over.
