Inspirational caucasian lady has skills creating natural hair styles

WOW is all I can say, I think shes an inspiration. She has adopted some children who are african american.. and she learnt how to take care of their hair .. I wish some mothers would do this to their children instead of slapping the creamy crack on them when they are 9 friggen months old. :nono:

If you natural and stuck for new, styles and stuck in a rut defo check her out ..

Im definatley going to attempt this style, I dont know if I have the skills though lol

I'm subscribed to her. I was wondering what relation she had to the children though. Thank you for breaking it down.

I'm subscribed to her and I think she does a great job with her children's hair. I love how she seems to enjoy doing it so much and you can tell she really loves their hair. I think she has a blog too.

Everything is teachable. You just have to have the desire to learn.

Exactly. Highly textured and coily hair isn't hard to manage, many of us have just been misinformed to believe that it's hard to manage. And I don't think her knowing how to take care of her children's hair makes others look bad, they just haven't learned other methods of care yet.

Great job for her, this reminds me of the dad that learned how to take care of his adopted daughter's hair.

She looks really young. You rarely see young people adopting full grown children. WHat an amazing young lady

I like the braiding style. I wonder if she is the new member here who was looking for some new styles for her adopted family member.

I think I have heard of her, and also the father who takes care of his adoptive daughter's hair also. MAN I wish I could style like this - I just subscribed, I would love to learn some of these style and techniques for my niece's hair. I do think that it is wonderful that she has embraced her daughters' hair and is teaching them to do the same.

Love this site....I'm going to send it to my sister in law because it still frickin amazes me that she can't comb my nieces hair...those little girls have been rockin one ponytail (high, low, to the side) for the last 10 years. The only time they get a break from the ponytail is when they visit me or my sister.

Yea I really like this lady; she has skills and she's teaching her children to love their hair...better than some AA women I know who have little girls and slap the weaves and relaxers on their hair instead of learning to deal with it.

When I lived in Germany our neighbors were a interracial couple (German mother, AA father from Georgia) and she could do some damn hair! I mean AA mothers from around our way would pay her to braid their girls and boys hair; I really admired her.

ETA: She is doing the damn thang with the hair, but why is her son's knuckles so ashy? I'm sorry I had to ask...don't get mad at me.

Yes, really...chronic dry skin is no joke, my younger brother suffers from psoriasis and I always worry about children, especially African American children who clinical studies show have much more severe cases of chronic dry skin, with dry skin. I don't joke, nor do I make jokes about children.

Yeah, I have a white friend who can braid, do weaves, and she knows how to do extensions. I can't do any of that.:ohwell: I'm hoping to learn, though.
