What Flat Irons are You Using These Days?

I love my Maxiglide. I bought my first one from ebay. When that one broke, they had discontinued the unit. I had to fight tooth & nail to get another one from ebay. I almost left work early to make sure I won my auction :look:

I plan on getting the new version that just came out.

Since I've started using the Maxiglide, nothing has ever gotten my hair straighter. I don't even bother with traditional flat irons anymore.

im trying one soon...

Now, I want that K2 flat iron. :wallbash: I just received the Sedu about 1/2 hr ago. With only four direct heat passes a year, I'll have to figure out a way to justify purchasing another flat iron. The cone in the Aragan Shine Oil is water soluble.

I just watched the video on HSN. That celebrity stylist gave away FLOTUS' secret to her bounce, shine, and "swang."

Girl, I KNOW RIGHT??? i bought the K2 and didn't use it for like 2-3 months because I don't flat iron my hair often....but SHOOOOOOOOT, I still bought it:lol:

I lurve that iron because it truly allows me to make sure i get heat protectant on every strand of hair without weighing my hair down and making it look greasy. it's smooth and silky. i love it. and i use it on 340. it heats real evenly so i don't need alot of heat. i bought a Solia and it burned my hair even on the lowest setting :nono:

after that i was leary of expensive irons because my drugstore iron never burned my hair. now i am very glad i made the investment and it worked out for me with the K2.

go on and getchu one Girl!:yep:

I still have my original sedu but my favorite was my 1" sedu revolution until that sucka died on me. I used that flatiron on my hair, sister's hair, mom's hair and bff's hair....loved that flatiron. I got a solia which I received for free from folica and I have used the iron on weaves/wigs and on my mother's hair but I don't really like it. I'm going to repurchase the sedu revolution 1" and the izunami flatiron.

I have a Solia which works fine but I'm looking for something new. The new Sedu Revolution Diamond Edition came out this week so I'll wait till I see more reviews to decide if I want to purchase it.

What do you mean? Does it trip your circuit breaker/service panel?

MileHighDiva,

When I bought my Sedu there were rumors of the cord randomly shorting out without warning. Some said dropping the iron or even twisting the cord the wrong way could prevent it from heating properly or at all.

The first Sedu I purchased from Folica arrived inoperable; it wouldn't even turn on. I purchased my second Sedu from a local salon & despite treating it with utmost care, the third time I used it, it turned on/lit up, but the plates wouldnt heat up at all. When I returned it the stylist who processed my transaction said The Sedu iron had a track record for being unpredictable & he didn't know why they sold them.

On the flip side, it had thee smoothest plates ever, but I couldn't invest in another potentially faulty iron.

Why did I come in here? I don't need another flat iron...

I already have 2 sedu's
1 solia
1 maxiglide (I think that's the name...the one with the water cartridge)
And 2 cheapy ones I don't know that name

I'm about to purchase an FHI. My stylist uses one on me and my hair is straight like I'm zero days post relaxer lol it stays until I wash it. That's a big plus considering my hair is extremely prone to reversion even with a perm.
