2016 Use Up The Stash Challenge

DD finished off her Jane Carter Nourish and Shine. She didn't like the scent so I got her something else. First I bought CRN Curlaide, but when I opened it it was more of a cream than a butter, so I'm saving that for when her Cantu Argan Oil leave in runs out. Then I bought her Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Hair Balm. She likes that scent. Now I have to add TWO things to my purchase update instead of one. That's ok though.

Same. Seems like I'm going through products sooo slowly and I'm actually trying to use stuff up Doesn't help that I'm so stangy with hair products either. The girl who was doing my sew in Monday kept dropping subtle hints about Kinky Kashmere's Betta Butter I brought for her to use instead of grease. Commenting about how good it smells and how soft it made my hair feel she said "Girl you need to gon head let me pay you for this" I just laughed. Now lord knows I could have and should have given that girl the butter (I have a backup) but I just wasn't going

Sorry @Dayjoy , just saw this. I can't even remember the name of mine but Naptural85 did a video on it. The teeth are very rigid on it.

Used up VO5 Kiwi Lime shampoo which I will probably replace because I have no clarifying shampoo in my stash.

Also used up Cantu Coconut Curling Cream.

Threw away an old Keravada oil because I couldn't stand the smell. Even for pre pooing it lingered in my hair. And threw away an old deep conditioner base that smells old and was bubbling at the top lol.

Awe I did this. Used up my stash. But now I'm looking for the "Build a stash so big your kids no longer have a bedroom challenge "

Found this recipe for diy shave cream. It may help use up some stuf like conditioners or shampoo you don't like. I've been using plain conditioner to shave with and it helps use up stuff so I will be trying this.

That's the one I got too. I went through the link on her video. But in the video it looked like she was using the softer one. I still have yet to use it. I need to get on it.

Didn't even add half my inventory to begin with. Half because I was lazy and figured there was no way I would even get through those this year and half because I was not gon' have myself out here looking like every bit of a junkie.

SN: Added 3 shampoos (Redken Hair Cleansing Crème, Mixed Chicks Shampoo, Mixed Chicks Sulfate-Free Shampoo) and another Aphogee Curlific Texture Treatment. Used up: not a darn thing

I like how @uofmpanther stated a goal number for each category. I'm going to go back and edit to do that too. That should better help keep me on track.

Me three! I had a $10 birthday coupon from Ulta (which is still good) and resisted their liter sale. #proudofmyself

I finished up Oyin Whipped Pudding and poured the last of my avocado oil into my oil mix.

Sooooo I have 228 haircare products

Nothing like a good mid year inventory to prove you don't need hair products now, you don't need hair products Black Friday, not the Black Friday after that or the one after that. HAVE SOME SEATS


ETA: my new goal of 2016 is to get down to 200 which will be hard since I plan to stay in a sew-in 90% of that time but I am determined
