Yes, this includes all conditioning, including deep conditioning or instant conditioning. I'm not sure about Smooth Infusion, I have only tried the DR line.

Well I have the DR line. What about clarifying shampoo, does that count? I have keracare & suave and i don't want to have to get another bottle so that it is aveda.

I will also be using the universal styling creme.

Exceptions: Giovonni direct leave-in

I don't mind if you build in your own exceptions, as long as you use and Aveda shampoo and Aveda conditioner/treatment at every wash. So if you use Suave, follow up with your Aveda shampoo!

As you already know, I'm in, but my numbers are messed up :ohwell:. Unless there's another Khalia I don't know about :p.

Here are my products:
Sap Moss Shampoo
Brilliant Conditioner
Brilliant Universal Styling Creme
Brilliant serum
Hang Straight
Brilliant Humectant pomade
Beautifying oil (but I'm getting low on this)

I didn't know we could use other styling products, so I've been strictly Aveda since the original post about this challenge. But now I will be incorporating henna treatments, vatika oil, and other styling products that I'm trying to use up.

my regime is to wash twice a week with DR shampoo and follow with the DR conditioner on Wed and the DR intensive treatment on Sat/Sun
I also use the Elixer as my leave in.
This weekend I am planning on buying Sap Moss Nourishing Concentrate for my prepoos and USC for daily moisture.

I'm confused too:confused:  I have a simple regimen, I just wash and condition, add leave in and some oil. If you have other steps in your regimen, such as pre-poo's, ACV rinse, etc etc, I am not sure how you do those or what is the purpose or if it interferes with the Aveda products. So you can use your own judgment, if you think you are still getting the max benefits of your Aveda products at every wash, I think it is ok.

The main reason I put "exceptions" in the rules is because I don't want anyone to spend a ridiculous amount of money on Aveda products trying to do this challenge. Also, if some one needs a treatment, I don't want them to delay or drop the challenge just because it is time for a hard protein. KWIM?? So keeping to purpose of the exceptions in mind, you are free to make your own decisions, but you should be washing and conditioning with Aveda at every wash.
