New Hair cut remorse :(

I just got my hair cut yesterday even though I went in wanting a trim...The stylist said my hair would be more stylish and managable if i cut of four or five inches...I said no and agreed to two inches but it seems she went ahead with the 5...I can't decide if i like it or not....Can you ladies tell me hat you think of it? by the way I hadn't had a cut or even trim in 4 yes FOUR years so maybe this was needed?

I think your hair looks beautiful and healthy!

I think everyone on this board has fallen for the "just let me even it up" or "you need layers" trick from the stylist. I think it looks great and I am positive that it will grow right back.

Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
It looks beautiful!

(so when will the stylist be released from the hospital? :look: )

Your cut is beautiful.

I was just looking at a white girl whose hair was very long but all the same length, even at the bang area. I realized, that does NOT look good. Sometimes cuts do a lot more good than harm, and your hair has a grea shape!

Even though she did NOT follow your wishes, she did an excellent job!

She gave your hair shape and movement.

My hair envy will not allow me to feel sorry for you:look:

She did take off quite a bit but your hair is gorgeous. :yep: Very thick and healthy looking. Is this a new stylist? I honestly think long haired women need to find a regular one that they can trust. Some of these stylists will snip snip in a heartbeat. :wallbash:

Thanks eveyone...I think it does look better all in all but I wish she could of left a bit more length ....I was bunnning for a over a year to get those inches and now they are gone...But it does feel healthier...She used Morracon Oil and Tresseme Light Hold Spray and a FHI

Yea it was my first time seeing her...she said I was too young to have long plain jane hair...lol...I guess some folk just don't like long hair....

Your hair is very beautiful! :yep: She definitely cut more than you wanted but it it gives your hair alot of fullness at the ends...which imo are very healthy looking. With the care you will be giving your hair...those inches will be back before you know it. Thicker and stronger.

Next time I go back I''ll let her know..I PREFER it long with layers so I want to continue growing it long but keep the ends trimmed...She did do a great job and she had a great personality....She does my friends hair and her hair always looks amazing thats why I decided to go see what she was about...

Be very careful if you go back to her. Next time she might try to get you to bsl or apl, seriously, just be very careful because she has already shown you once that she will not listen to your wishes.

I love the cut! It makes your hair look so much more lush and exciting with the long layers. And it looks more groomed and healthy. I know you miss the length, but IMO it's prettier now. I'm trying to get my hair to grow into this very haircut!
