SALERM21 Users....How Do You Use It (???)

Poohbear

/images/graemlins/smile.gif I ordered Salerm21 from Sickbay before Thanksgiving and received it in the mail. There's no directions on usage. I was wondering how do you use Salerm21 on my hair or how should I use it. Here's a few of questions:

1. Is it better to use it on wet, damp, or dry hair?

2. Have you ever airdried with Salerm21 in your hair? If so, what hair style did you let your hair airdry in?

3. When using Salerm21, is it best to use it solely or with other products?

Thanks in advance! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've only used it on wet or damp hair. I think it's too thick to use on dry hair. It might make the hair feel gummy. I did airdry w/ Salerm in two ponytails and I wore it straight but that was early on in my transition. My hair won't airdry straight anymore. I always used it in conjunction with other products. I normally use Salerm when I do a wash n go style or when I do a rollerset. A little goes a long way.

Thanks Tai! When you airdried in two ponytails, did you use rollers are the ends of the ponytails to have a slight curl? For some reason, when I airdry in a ponytail, my ends look frizzy. What do u do for that?

i use mine to keep my hair sleek when i wear my ponytail (it sucks any other way for me). i also use it on my daughter's wet hair after washing (for some reason, it loves her hair /images/graemlins/love.gif ).

I use mine for rollersetting here and there. A VERY SMALL amount, about the size of a dime /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I use mine as a leave-in: I combine that and a setting lotion on my hair, wrap it and then dry (air then blow dry). It is great for air drying-- leaves the hair very shiny and soft. /images/graemlins/up.gif

I use mine alone after washing and conditioning for a rollerset. I dont use any other prodcuts other than Salerm now for rollersetting. I also use this when I wear a wet bun.

When airdrying your hair, what style is your hair in? is it in a wrap, rollers, ponytail, straight down, etc.?

I use it on wet hair right after I finishing conditioning. I find I can't use it alone so I use it with either NTM leav-in but recently I used it with Nexxus Headress, this combination left my hair so soft and silky smooth. I airdry in a ponytail, in the morning my ends weren't frizzy and dry.

1. Is it better to use it on wet, damp, or dry hair?
Wet.
2. Have you ever airdried with Salerm21 in your hair? If so, what hair style did you let your hair airdry in?
Yes. The ponytail method, pincurls, and braid-outs.

3. When using Salerm21, is it best to use it solely or with other products?
I have done both. I have used it alone and with Surge or Tigi Ego Boost. Any of the above works very well for me. HTH.

1. Is it better to use it on wet, damp, or dry hair? I use it on wet hair. First I spritz my hair with rosewater, then work some Salerm 21 in, spritz with rose water again and detangle my hair.

2. Have you ever airdried with Salerm21 in your hair? If so, what hair style did you let your hair airdry in?
Ponytail Method.

3. When using Salerm21, is it best to use it solely or with other products?
You can use it alone or with other products. However, as a leave-in, it should be used first.

I use Salerm 21 on wet hair. I find it makes detangling a lot easier.... I don't use heat on my hair at all, so air drying is all I do. I air dry my hair in a single ponytail...The only other product I use with Salerm 21 is coconut oil.

Well, the next time I use Salerm21, I will airdry with my hair in a ponytail. /images/graemlins/smile.gif For some reason when I blowdried with it Sunday, my hair didn't turn out like I expected. If I decide to blowdry again, I will use it with a moisturizer instead of oil and glossing polish. But my hair looks okay now that it's dry. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I use it only on wet hair, and for the most part, only when I do my pin culs. I've also used it in the past on my hair when I make a bun because it slicks it down really nice and when I take it down the hair is nice and soft.

I plan to use it on the day I do my deep conditioning (w/ Salerm Wheat Germ Mask). I will apply it to my damp hair and let it air dry like I always do after every wash.

Thanks for your responses ladies!

I have another question though...

I use Motions Nourish leave-in to detangle my hair. Is it okay to use Salerm21 afterwards or is that too much protein???

Poohbear how much did it cost and do you have a link to Sickbay? My computer will not pull it up.
I actually bought mine from http://www.sickbay.biz when it was on sale for $6.50, but I feel that they ripped me off for shipping which was $5.80. So my total was $12.30. It's not on sell anymore so I wouldn't recommend that you buy it from that site.:(

I wish I had a local dominican salon or beauty supply store in my area that sells this. I heard ebay was selling Salerm21 bottles as well. Or have someone on this forum that has Salerm products in their area buy it for you, then you pay for it and have them ship it to ya'.

Hope that helps!

I use it the same way, minus the blow drying. I just got a touchup on Sunday and after I finished shampooing and deep conditioning, I just used a dime size amount and air dryed in a pony tail. My hair came out shiny and silky. :)

Hmmm... I guess I didn't have success with Salerm21 because I used too much. Next time, I will use a small amount on wet hair after I detangle. Thanks ladies! ;)
