Hi ladies,
I'm currently on the crown & glory challenge, and i'm getting serious with it.
I read a lot of time people who said "I plan to use the c&g method for ... months/year".
So, what happened to those guys ? Can u please tell me growth you have gotten from this technique ?

Well I have been on the CAG method for 9 months now and it does work. I plan to continue with out until my hair is about APL length. I has helped tremendously especially because my hair was so weak and damaged at first and this helped to give it time to rest and grow. I have some progress pics but I am holding off until I can get one more set (in June) that way I can show a year of progress.

Of course I cut it all off in December because it was too thin. I'm now back to the March picture, but I  my hair.

sareca > you made amazing progress ! Wow ! The c&g seems to worth it.
I've seen your fotki, and your hair is fuller ^^

thicknlong > Hi, welcome to the boards ! Okay, so the Crown and Glory method is when you use braids as protective style and they allow you to retain more lenght. You will learn a new way to take care of your hair while in braids. On her website http://www.growafrohairlong.com/, Robin explain very well the technique.

Thanks :) This is my absolute favorite. If the artist worked in permenant, I'd be seriously tempted.

I have been using C&G since December, and, so far, it is working very well. I've gained almost 2 inches in two months - way more than I ever expected. Now that I know the mrthod workes, I've added vitamins, supplements, and extra protein to my regime; hopefully, I'll get even more and and more and faster and faster growth.

I've joined the C&G Challenge and planto continue at least through early summer, but will try to make it until September.

I think for me, the key is washing, conditioning, and moisturizing - very little shedding and no breakage. I wear cornrolls for two weeks and have two to three days off during which super wash and protein and moisturize before I have my hair rebraided.

So far, it's working very well.
