Affirm relaxer- the control time release lye

I was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the control time release lye relaxer and the original regular strength lye relaxer. I checked the concentrations of Sodium Hydroxide and they are the same but I was wondering how they work differently.
Also if any one has used this particular relaxer (time release) what were the results?

The time release comes in one formulation but it is for normal to extra strength. I believe that it goes by how long you keep the relaxer in that determines the strength.
