Detangling pre-braided hair.

Step 1- Unbraid hair

Step 2- Apply a pea sized amount of detangling condish onto each
unbraided section.

Step 3- Comb/ detangle each section using a wide toothed comb.
----------

I'm taking out my cornrows in a few days... Please tell me that is the proper detangling method.

I think its different for everyone. When i remove my cornrows one by one. I use my denman on Dry hair and its easy as pie as long as i do each separately. FYI, My cornrows are in for 6 to 8 weeks and I keep them moisturized under the weave so I dont have any tangling issues.

Mine have been in for 2 months and I keep them moisturized too, but I just wanna make sure I get all of the shedded hair out, before I relax.

I like doing it on dry hair too with a touch of evoo.
I take my fingers and smooth down the unbraided section
finger detangle and smooth. If I find a ssks I snip it but
being gentle and smoothing has helped me prevent many
ssks. then I go ahead and prepoo
It helps you get each shedded hair.
If you want to be sure then maybe go over it with a
wide tooth after finger detangling
