Hi ladies,
My hair has never been permed before, and I just normally press it. I want to dye my hair so bad, but I constantly hear about the negative effects that come from bleaching.I hear that my hair is going to fall out even if I take care of it, and all this other stuff. I want a change my hair is really jet black, it has no life(LOL) [image]http://http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/enhance/enhance.jsp;jsessionid=aaaaMnXUlfSAxL?com.lightsurf.servlet.ANTI_RELOAD_TOKEN=%5BB@58c90e&elementID=18493879557&containerID=8912987650&description=&callpage=inbox&transformname=&transformvalue=&view=photo&key=&page=1[/image]

Yes, but it won't be all of your hair that's bleached. If you highlight your hair it will only be some strands or chunks of hair. It's less risky than bleaching ALL of your hair. You'll still experience breakage from the bleaching, but at least your entire head won't be messed up.

The safest and best way that I know of to get light colored hair without bleaching is to use that hair-color-in-a-spray-can stuff. I have this canned bronze color that I use to make articial highlights and it looks great. When you use this stuff, make sure that you don't go overboard with it.

Yeah, and separate the pieces you want to spray from the rest of your hair (for instance, pull them out, and lay them against an index card so that the spray won't touch the rest of the hair).

If you spray it directly onto your hair, it's going to make a big circle in that vicinity.

My hair is natural but I dye it a home several times a year. I think that key is making sure you deep condition before and after your color. After i dye my hair I usually wear a protective style for about two weeks until the moisture level returns to normal. HTH.
