funny. i want to stop weaves and you will wear them more often.

I am so scared to stop wearing them, my hair thrives in weaves, but I miss touching and treating ALL of my hair, not just the little bit left our of the weave.

I know my hair does not like ponytails or buns.

Roller set more consistently. I wear a boring bun almost always, I want to see some hair! I'm going to inspire the world to do more "sets"! "Wait 'til they get a load a me!"

carlita always coming up with these good threads!!! lol lets see in 2006 i will:
- bring more moisture back to my hair
- begin to cut the split ends out of my hair
- use more mtg to grow the hair
- grow at least another 8-10 inches (that should make me about waist length)
- perm the relaxed ends of hair in order to bring some coil to the hair
- i'll be waist length by the end of 2006
- i'll do a u-shaped cut or maybe even just leave it blunt if its close to even
- i'll lose 64 pounds
- i'll finally find better products to define my curls
- i'll get clear skin
- i'll grow my hair line in nice and full
- i'll finally establish a regime that i'll follow and that works for me
- i'll start doing the baggie challenge more often to retain moisture and will follow through with protective styles

*newly added*
- work on my capoeira
- get into the gym
- get into doing bikram yoga (its done in a room thats 100+ degrees!)

In 2006, I will:

Wear protective styles on a regular basis, including my 2 wigs, french rolls, etc.

I will airdry more. I'm just trying this now and the hair is clammy and takes HOURS to dry!

I will listen to my hair and give it what it needs.

I will limit the products I buy.

I will grow 8 inches! Now THAT'S optimistic:lachen:  :lachen:

go ahead on...i hope your 2006 goals work for you....
For 2006 i will:

-put a end to my pjism...i stoped myself from reordering MTG..i was tempted...but i have a full jar of sulfur 8 sitting in my drawer..and thats what it smells like...and i really want to get to the point where im using and having only maybe 2 shampoos, 3 conditioners(2 protein and 1 moisturizing) etc...

-start taking my vitamins more often

-exercise and eat right more(lose my stubborn 20 to 30 pounds that ive been wanting to lose and get down to that size 4 to 6) :) :)

-i will get my hair to be healthy and a nice length

-not spend as much on getting my hair done as i did this year

-stick with one growth product(ive went on the rampage since joining LHCF)...going back to ORS fertilizer balm and surge ..and hurrying up and getting rid of the rest(Lenzis request, MTG, all other growth products)

-cowashing/shampooing/deep conditioning more often

-stretching my relaxers more often
Yall gotta help a sistah out with all the acronyms. MTG, PJism. Please just list "all" of the acronyms just to be safe.

Would PJism be product junky? If so I am guilty.

maintain what I've been doing thus far:

- pre shampoo treatments
- staying with all natural products
- use of heat sparingly (i.e only for deep conditioning)

I'm proud to say that my pj'ism is gone. I have no desire to try any new products, what I have works for me and my pockets are thanking me.

I'm thinking about wearing braids for the entire year! ;)

I know that a few others are doing the same, but I need advice on a routine for braids.
