Kendal St. Charles said 10 years ago that the one thing that black women could be counted on was to be the face of protesting for someone else's benefit. 108 people were arrested at a Palestinian circle jerk but this is the picture splashed across major publications. This is Ilhan Omar's daughter which means she has more protection than the average 18-year-old black girl college student. That's convenient for her. The funny ironic as opposed to funny ha ha thing about these situations is there's always a dude chilling comfortably in the background watching the dark skinned, kinky haired black woman get arrested.

I couldn't make it up if I tried.

Pro-Palestininan activist murdered in Gaza by Palestinians

Vittorio Arrigoni first came to Gaza on an activist-organised flotilla in 2008. He was a member of the International Solidarity Movement and participated in protests to support Palestinian farmers and fishermen who had been confronted frequently by Israeli forces.

Arrigoni was killed on April 15, 2011, after a small group of Palestinian gunmen kidnapped him a day earlier and demanded that the Hamas government in Gaza release one of their members.

In more Mammying for Palestinian's who don't give a solitary f about you news. I heard her voice in the confrontation with Alex Baldwin and went "Please No" but I knew who I was going to see when more photos were available.

I am not being funny or beachy. I am very serious. I find this post ironic in so many ways. I also find it disheartening.

People can disagree without being reductive and making racist generalizations about the behaviour of individuals. I also see white Jewish and non jewish white women protesting. What is their equivalent of the mammy stereotype?

We deal with racism and generalizations from others. We do not need to hear it from our own people. I see this place as a safe haven for US. Sometimes your barbs towards black people are over the top. No need for the nasty comments towards black women because some may not support Israel in this war.

This individual person is dressed ridiculously but there is no need to bring up the mammy caricature because of her political stance. Doing so generalizes the stereotype onto other black women and perpetuates the stereotype.

Listen, not once in this thread or any other have I told black women to support Israel. Not one time! I tell black women to stay TF out of conflicts that don't benefit us as a collective. I don't care if it's black males, palestinians or friggin Veneer Tech's! If that's not trying to create a safe place for us then I don't know what is. This mammy :moon: mammy and others like her dragging the likeness of black women into a worldwide brawl is putting a target on all of us and it is dangerous. Just in case "ya'll" don't think I know, Jewishness doesn't save me from being grouped by sight into this foolery.

Ole girl in the video would be beaten, gang raped and murdered in "war torn" Gaza TODAY for far less than the outfit she has on. I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling you what I know. Is it supposed to be "Each One. Teach One" or am I just supposed to keep that to myself because it doesn't fit the narrative of the "Po Po Palestinians"?

Now why is it important that this would happen to her or any black woman reading this in a country ya'll are likely never to visit? Because when Israel gets the remaining hostages back and IF the democrats retain control of the presidency and senate, there's going to be massive amounts of Palestinian refugees entering the U.S. While everybody is watching the Mexican border, Jordanian Palestinians have already been coming into Michigan through Canada posing as Syrian refugees. The reason this is relevant is that it fits the pattern of the Arab immigration problem happening in Europe and the increasing cases of non-Arab women over there catching hell because of it.

Unlike the people learning their checkers pieces about Palestinians from Hoteps and Youtube University, I been learning the chess pieces from Al Jazeera and The Arab News for a smooth 20 years. On top of that I been in the ME and North Africa. I have talked to Palestinians and other Arabs in the US and in Israel and guess what? They don't like "us".

I stay out if this discussion because I do not know enough about this situation to contribute anything of significance. In addition I am not more or less supportive of either side. However, I think I have more understanding of the heavy handedness of the Israelis because of their own history of persecution and the thought that they have no intention of history repeating itself.

My problem with your stance is your expectation that black women should be a monolithic group when it comes to beliefs and thoughts. We are not. In addition, being heterogeneous should not be a reason to label us as mammies. Your experience as a black Jewish convert is not representative of other experiences. It does not mean you have the right to tell others how they should think, what their stance should be or what they should believe.

Black women can have differing opinions without being assigned racist labels. We can agree to disagree.
