List what's working and what's not for this month.
First Washngo of 2020. ( beautiful, curly, soft, lasted 7 days)
Product Junkie Naturals Rosemary Collection as a whole ( Oil, Shampoo, Deep conditioner, Leave in/Cream and Gel)
Detangling my hair after said washngo , so much hair in the brush/comb.( need to rewash after 3 days to stay on top of the hair meshing)
Tangles and Beyond product molding after receiving it two months ago and never used.
PJN Rosemary Creamy Shampoo, it was so creamy I added too much. With this less is better,
Qhemet Biologics. Moisture City, always hands down!
Trying to figure out where I got this Twisting Butter from , its so gritty. I think this came in that Curlbox
Alikay Naturals "Cowash Me" Cleansing Conditioner
The Alikay Lady and all them durn emails. If it ain't about a Product Sale, ANGTFD,
I'm ready to unsubscribe from them.
Terra Veda Organix - Curl Shampoo. Works like a clarifying shampoo and not a moisturizing shampoo.
Curl serum and gel. Drying on my hair. I need a better more moisturizing leave in.
Inahsi leave in. Sucks the moisture out of my hair.
I'm in the market for a leave in. Any suggestions???
Dove Amplified Shaping Butter Cream, Conditioner like texture, smoothed into hair and seems to be a soft hold with a moisturizing leave in
Naturelle Grow Cleansing Cowash/Deep Conditioner
Instant Hit: HiBar Moisturize Shampoo. Has a lot of slip and moisturizes.
On the fence: HiBar Moisturize Conditioner. Obviously it isn't going to be like using a regular conditioner but idk if there's just a learning curve, not enough used, etc. Was okay.
Hit: Karen’s Body Beautiful customer service
tangles and beyond antidote
tangles and beyond
Hit: Sphagnum Botanicals Eczema & Psoriasis Shampoo. Super gentle and stops the itchies.
Miss: My skin apparently doesn't like the African Pride stuff. Sucks because it's so nice for my hair.
Shea butter Blend, soft silky feeling hair
Shea butter Blend, dull , gray looking hair. Never fails. I can only use a shea mix that has oils in it as a sealant on dry hair. Anything else and my hair is weighed down and looks dry because of the shea butter never absorbing, Feels great... looks bad
Missish: Kinky Curly knot today
It used to work but the result just isn't what I remember when I was using it around 5 years ago. My hair reacts to it like it has protein.... My hair does better with hair milks
Tangles and Beyond Pure Mud Mask, I steamed it in because it was so thick and after rinsing out my hair was buttery soft and clean
Tangles and Beyond Lather sample, Its a body/hair wash with shea butter blend. Used it to wash my hands and it was really nice
APB Simple Hair Creme, all the ingredients I have a problem with are not in this. Creamy, softening hair creme..simple!
NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream, creamy, smooth and curl defining
Tangles and Beyond, smh
NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream, so thick it takes a long time to sink in, so dont go anywhere before hand ,lol
Hit: using a modified version of the original Kimmytube leave in recipe. Now I can use up this bottle of Kinky Curly knot today.
Hit:Cutting my hair
Miss:Shaving it bald. I’m ready to rub it against a brick wall. It’s growing back but it’s still so itchy.
Hit: Cantu Txtr By Leave-in + Rinse Out Hydrating Conditioner
Jlexllc rice water shampoo. I've had it for about 6 months. Used it today and it made my scalp itch like mad. Poured it out. Done with her shampoos. They burn my eyes.
Definitely a learning curve. When the strands are thoroughly coated it's quite moisturizing upon rinsing but it's hard to know if you have enough coverage. I guess the only miss with these bars is their weird shape. Still want to try Ethique in the future and see which one I like better.
Tonga Mousse and Karité Buttermilk sealed in with the oil Tisane for a braidout. My hair is soft, sheeny and bouncy. I refreshed my hair for the night using one on either side and the sealed with the oil.

Keraveda Crystal Shampoo- leaves hair soft and clean. I’m able to gently detangle while washing.
Bellebar Henna Gloss
Bellebar Green Tea Rinse- both of these products are strengthening. The gloss mixed with SSI Papaya DC makes the DC useful. The tea rinse is a great curl refresher.
Keraveda DC- slippy I love it! It’s perfect after a strengthening treatment. My hair is so soft. I love it more than SSI Marumallow and SSI is my holy grail of moisturizing conditioners.
Bellebar Onion Garlic oil- I’m seeing less shedding since using it.
Bellebar price point. I’m only doing sales with them.
Bellebar smells is not a good esthetic. They could stand to use some essential oils to offset the smell. I love a good herbal smell, but the green tea and oil needs work in the fragrance department. I was able to offset the smell with lemongrass essential oil.
Cream & Coco's DC'ers - I am totally "underwhelmed" by them.
I am so glad I have zero b/ups of these and consider them part of my 1-offs purchases.
I will be glad when they are done.
I did like their Spun Sugar Reconstructor, but the DC'ers are overpriced and under preforming.
Nature's Ego Rinses!
Used FRW Rinse and liked it. And currently using: Rosemary & Peppermint. (Also very nice).
I have a Guava Leaf one and a Black Tea & Chai one I haven't tried yet.
But so far....so good. I wish I had b/ups.
Where or what step in your wash routine did you use the rinses @IDareT'sHair
@Bette Davis Eyes
I used both the FRW and Rosemary & Peppermint after I cleansed and under my DC'er.
Next Wash Day, I will use the Rosemary & Peppermint as a final rinse and leave it in. It has a lingering refreshment kinda like Sea Breeze.
The Black Tea & Chai is a L-I. And I need to read up on the Guava Leaf because the Label rubbed off.
How do you know you like it if its under your DC @IDareT'sHair
@Bette Davis Eyes
I did like it, but would like to try it alone (on its own). They are very nice.
@Bette Davis Eyes
I also have the stanky Ayurvedic Onion Pre-Poo by Nature's Ego I still gotta try. It got great reviews.
I keep staring at it, ugh @IDareT'sHair
