newly natural looking for feedback

I'm newly natural. I grew my relaxer out under a wig for almost 2 years.
I actually planned on getting another relaxer but a month ago I took the wig
off and decided to 'be me'.

I'm having some adjustment issues as me and my hair get to know each other.
Shrinkage takes a lot of getting used to (I'm not there yet but working on it).

Can you take a look at my fotki and tell me what you think or give me any advice.
I'm not use to the shape of my head with my natural curls.

I think my hair is 4A but I'm not entirely sure

thanks

Do your best to try and embrace the shrinkage as quickly as you can.

Patience and acceptance of all of your hair and what it does in its natural state is a major deal.

If you are going to flat iron regularly or at anytime be sure to place a heat protectant on it so that you won't damage the cuticle of your hair. You can tell if it is damaged by washing it and it stays straight as if you had a relaxer put in it.

If you accept that then you won't jump at trying everything to make your hair do what it cannot natural do.

Enjoy the journey and welcome aboard.

I think your hair looks great. It will take some time to get used to the shrinkage. It is still the one thing that annoys me about my natural hair sometimes but I just work w/it.

hello! i like your album. i too think shrinkage is the devil, but that denman and some gel will save your life. puffs and twists galore....oh yeah!

your hair is SO pretty!
definitely 4a.

(and honeycomb, your hair is purty, too! i think you're more of a 3c, though:) )
