After reading through the thread "How Satan Stops Our Prayers," I felt it would be right to share the recent four-part sermon series that is truly helping my prayer life.

    ASIDE:
I almost didn't click on the "How Satan Stops Our Prayers" thread (I'm not into that type of topic, usually), but I did get a lot out of it, whether it was an analogy or not.
"Teach them how to pray" was a point of departure in that thread. I thought to myself . . . I should link the sermon series I just finished that was all about learning from Jesus how to pray.

    Sermon #2: Reign On Us

    Sermon #3: Reign Through Us

    Sermon #4: Reign In Us

    About the sermon series
So, the sermon series is a deep look at what is called the Lord's Prayer, when Jesus is teaching on how to pray.

Matthew 6:9-13 New International Version (NIV)

9 “This, then, is how you should pray:

    “‘Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name,
    10 your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.

The sermon goes into the meaning of this prayer and what it looks like in our lives. For example, "kingdom" in the prayer above has a specific meaning/usage (it might not be what you think). Knowing the meaning/usage makes a difference!

This series is absolutely worth your time, IMO, even if you've been praying and/or hearing about prayer for decades and decades (hand raised!). If you are anything like me, you've heard so many sermons and lessons and bible classes on prayer! Yeah: My attitude was kind of "meh" when I learned what this series was going to be about: More on prayer, huh? :look:

But the series surprised me, in that I wasn't expecting it to help me and affect my prayer life the way it has.

I don't know how long the links to the sermons will work, but they should be good for a while.

    Blessings, all!

@YvetteWithJoy - thank you for this thread. I listened to the Reign Over Us sermon, It's a good teaching sermon.

The Lord's Prayer is a powerful prayer. I recall as a child my mother had this purple cardboard weight poster with the Lord's Prayer scripted in God Metallic Ink on it, hanging on the wall of the hallway which connected bedrooms. It was placed there to help us remember it and the entire family recited the Lord's prayer (on our knees, hands folded) EVERY night.

I am traveling for work this week so I hope to do listen to the remaining sermons at night while sequestered in my hotel room.
