Reading the Bible, Daily Devotionals

upandcoming

Hello everyone,
I am so pleased to be on this board. I'm away from my Bible study group now and I'm glad to now that I can still engage in a discussion with women from accross the country. That's awesome.I write to you today to share some websites that I LOVE and visit pretty much everyday.

Reading Your Bible
I read a post about reading the Bible and I immediately thought of this site: www.biblegateway.com. Now, they have three reading plans . One of them is a 365 day one in chronological order, the other is a biographical reading plan with the stories of important Biblical figures, the other is a survey reading plan which essentially goes over the main stories of the Bible, and the last one is the shortened chronological plan (that's the one I'm doing). I grew up in the church but I never read the entire Bible for myself so this was a great study for me. I suggest praying about which one you will actually see yourself doing. I always feel guilty when I try these Bible study plans and feel like I'm not doing my best.

Comprehensive Reading Bible Plan - 365 Days:

Biographical Reading Plan - 121 Days:

Survey Bible Reading Plan - 61 Days:

***Chronological Bible Reading Plan - 61 Days:

I love this one, although I admit that it was hard getting through Leviticus and Numbers because all of the names and rules. However, it's good to remain disciplined.

Devotionals

I got this from a scholarship I received in high school. I got it in the mail, but when I went to college it has hard keeping up with it. When I found it online, I was ecstatic. This is the devotional I recommend because it has scripture, daily life applicaiton, extended studying, etc...I set it to my homepage so I'm almost forced to read it (and if I don't, I feel VERY guilty). It refreshes everyday.

There are so many more out there, but these are the links that have helped me. I'll edit this when I find one last one that I've used in the past.

Seeya!
