Some of Marguerite\'s Magic - That Smell...Ick!

I know some people really like the smell of Some of Marguerite's Magic and hate the smell of Healthy Hair Butter. I like the smell of Healthy Hair Butter and HATE the smell of Some of Marguerite's Magic!

I tried mixing it with like 20-30 drops of Vanilla Fragrance Oil and the smell is still there! Anyone know of a way to alter the smell? I'd like to use up this product and not throw it away.

Why don't you just heat it up and use it as a pre-shampoo treatment.
That should finish it up in about one or two applications. Just a suggestion.

i don't smell anything-- i mix it with a lot of stuff... or maybe i am just used to the smell

Hairlove, your mix sounds really good, im sorry it didnt cover up the smell though.

The smell is just very strong. The jar doesn't say what smell either. It only says "fragrant oils."

Hmmm ... the smell DOES tend to be a bit over powering to me. ESPECIALLY the first few hours after use. It goes away for me though (or I get use to the smell).

Maybe you should try contacting CD and find out exactly what's the source of the smell? I've often wondered if CD could make fragrance free or milder scented products. I love her stuff but a few of her hair products smell too herbal and strong. Kind of like Aveda Brilliant line, I still have trouble using some of products from this line cause of the wild herbal scent.
