Spirulina vs Chlorella.........

i posted this in the spirulina thread i started, but i have a few tips for those that aren't comfortable with the taste of either chlorella or spirulina:

1. the less liquid you mix it with, the less you have to taste it
2. the tangier the liquid you mix it with, the less you have to taste it
3. the thinner the liquid you mix it in, the easier it will go down.


i used to really despise the taste of spirulina, but i mixed it up in a really yummy mix, & now i've actually grown to like the taste.

i mix:
1/2 a cup of 100% cranberry juice
a splash of pineapple juice
1 heaping teaspoon of whatever supplement you're taking, for me it's spirulina

i blend it in the blender (mixing it with the spoon doesn't really blend the mix well, so if you have a blender, use that) for 3 or 4 pulses (not so much as to make the juice frothy, because the foam is really thick), and drink it all down. the result? you barely taste the powder, & the tartness of the juice totally masks the taste.

hope that helps! don't waste your powders, just mix them up with yummy juice!
