That's interesting that you guys feel that twisting isn't good for natural hair. i just really started to do that consistently. hmm
I wonder why braids work better?
I wonder why braids work better?
I'm stuck at bsl. For me, it's because my ends tangle up and there is nothing I can do but cut them. I need to figure out how to stop the tangling. I keep my hair stretched in protective styles like braids or twits. Sometimes buns. I'm not too sure what to do anymore.
I'm natural by the way.
For me, the worst things for my fine, tangle-prone hair are braids and twists; it’s as if I am inviting the tangles to a hair party. The most I will do is air dry in two Pippi Longstocking braids that are never braided all the way to the end (I stop braiding ~3 inches from the ends and put a spring clip on it. As they dry, I periodically smooth out the tangles on the ends. Once the braids have dried, I remove the clips and pin them up.)
IMO, braiding and twisting tangle-prone hair, especially the ends, is a recipe for disaster. Urban, are there any other styles that you can experiment with that doesn’t involve twisting or braiding?
