I was on Hairlista tonight, and saw an online ad for this product. I was intrigued and wanted to bring my findings here. Have any of you heard or used this product? It's called the 'Edge Stick' and it is a ceramic comb that doesn't burn even the scalp if it touches it! I watched the youtube video and I must say I'm a believer :yep:

Thanks for posting. It looks interesting.
  • $69.99 for edgestick that goes up to 400 degrees
  • $79.99 for up to 450 degrees
Considering that it's only meant for edges, that seems pricey. Or maybe it's just that I've spent so much on other things, including a flat iron that does a great job on my whole head (including the edges) that this seems like too much money for what it does.

It looks like it goes a good job, though.

We sell it at Sallys and it's called the Root Iron.

My co-worker and I watched the dvd included in the package because we were bored and we were like  Then one of our friends who is a stylist said she'd try it and at the very least return it if she hated it. Well, she returned it. However one guy swears bythe thing. This lady has a reveiw...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSZdVzxGozY, but I've seen it retuned alot.

Another thing I just remembered is that the combs are of a heat resistant material but it seems similar to plastic. They can snap off. The one we have on display actually is missing afew teeth and it has never even been used.

But the edges are so sensitive and prone to breaking off already! To me, it seems scorching them would only make matters worse.

Looks good, but I don't need to start burning my edges and nape area.... It's finally growing in nicely and this would just = setbacks!
