What's the best brush to blow dry hair?

Hi All

I was just wondering which brush is best for blow drying using a nozzle attachement. I'm currently stretching/transitioning (still undecided!) and on the odd occasion when I blow dry I use a comb attachment. I have a Denman D3 brush, but have been told that a paddle brush is better. I just want to smooth my hair out a little and then press or flat iron afterwards. My hair type is 4b.

I've seen the same results with Denman, comb, and paddle brushes. I think it's just a matter of what's most comfortable to you while you're blow drying. It may take practice to get it down pat.

I agree with the above, the brushes that you have sound fine, I have the denman and the bristles are not too small to tear your hair out (I am also 4b). The smoothness is going to depend mainly on you using the tension method and facing the nozzle in the direction of the cuticle. I'll add a video that has been extremely helpful to me.

So in the first video she is using the nozzle on natural hair, and I am not natural, but it helps me with smoothing out new growth.

The second video she uses the comb attachment, also with very good results.

Thanks for responding. Looks as though I won't need to waste money on a paddle brush.

Thanks for posting the links, they are very helpful. The girl in the videos has lovely hair.

Are there any ladies who use the hair dryer with the nozzle and a comb instead of a brush to smooth out the kinks in their hair?
