So After You Reach Your Goal......................

How long will you keep your hair long? I must admit I'm more caught up in the challenge of growing it. I wonder what I will do after I reach my goal (WL). I'll be almost 40 by the time my hair gets to the finishing point. Why do I get the feeling, I'll chop it right back off

Now my sister, who has MBL hair just turned 50 and started locks, which she doesn't plan on cutting. Maybe I'll hold out until 50 but I don't see myself as the sweet granny with a braid down her back.

What about you?

Considering it's taking me so long to reach my goal. I aint never cutting it:lol:

My hair has been short for 20 years, I cant imagine going back to that.

My goal is to see how long my hair will grow, so I am in it for the long haul.

Although, that may not be true. I put braids in my hair last weekend and by last Thursday, I took them down again. I was tired of them being in my face. I am not sure how I will do with long hair. It's been a lifelong dream of mine, but I've never had it, so I might actually hate long hair.

I dunno but I am going to have a blast figuring it out! :yep:

I am embracing the journey for all it is worth!!!!

I'll be swinging my floor length braid in people's faces until the day I die.

I can't wait until I have a braid that can wrap around my head. I think that's such a regal style...like a hair crown.

 Now that is a funny image!

I can't imagine ever wanting to cut my hair. I don't think anything is more versatile than long natural hair... other than a really big wig collection,.

So no short funky bobs so far.........................

Well, my main goal is waist length, and if I can't tolerate waist length then I'm going to cut back to midback and keep it that length.....I never had anything pass apl....so I wil def keep midback........

I see myself not going past APL again. I'll probably just keep getting regular trims to keep me either right at or a little above APL

I'll be 40 in 2 years and I'm not going to cut my hair. I'm hoping to reach waist length, maybe classic, as long as my curly hair is at least APL unstretched. After that I'll just ride off into the sunset with my hair I guess

I can't think that far ahead, but I'm thinking that in my 70's (jeesh) I'll probably wear buns like my grandma did. She had MBL hair that she always kept in a bun. I'll probably also get plastic surgery and a permanent shocked look with the botox. I ain't going down without a fight!

When I reach my goal, I'm staying there. I worked way to hard (rollersetting, co-washing, deep conditioning, stretching, etc.) to hack it off just because of my age. I'll just be a hot and sexy old woman at 100 years old.:kiss3:...I'm pretty sure I can pull it off.:yep:

my goal is to have healthy hair at BSL length. I would let it grow a little bit beyond that point and trim it no shorter than that length. that's it.

and i probably wouldn't cut it... for a really really long time. i'm sure i'd get sick of it eventually as i age. and then my concerns would turn to hair color. lol. if i start to go grey in my 40s, i might become a highlighted blonde. ;-)

My ultimate goal is hip length, which I expect to reach next year and plan to maintain for the rest of my life. It's the best length for me because I like BIG hair; therefore, I almost always wear my hair in a curly or textured style. With shrinkage, my "finished length" will be around MBL...perfect!

Before hairboards, my hair had never seen APL, so I welcome the thick granny braid flowing down my back.:yep:

For life!...Or at least until I decide to go natural. And then when I grow it long while natural, it will be for life! I'll probably cut it as short as BSL when I get tired of having it really long, but no shorter. Ultimately I'd like to stay between BSL and TBL.

I don't have a goal so much as I'm interested to see if I can get my hair to and maintain APL. If I can I'll likely keep growing my hair until I feel it's too long to style on rollers or with a flat iron without help. I figure that will be about MBL. I haven't been APL since 3rd grade when I talked my mom into a bob...

It depends on maintenance. If I can handle it I would grow to WL but if that's too much to maintain I'd take it back to BSL or APL. Maybe even locs of a caesar.

I'm going for waist length relaxed, after I'm there for 2-3 years, I'll cut back to arm pit, then chop it all off, go natural and grow to my waist again. I want a really, really big fro!

gonna maintain FOREVER. or until i am too old and then cut it to like shoulder...um no not even. lol. perpetually have a bun. lol. i will make sure who ever my caretaker is knows explicitly to care for my hair first and foremost. lol

:lachen::lachen: I'm saying....The caretaker will have to be schooled on proper detangling, conditioner washing, and bunning AT THE LEAST.

I think I'm going to maintain MBL for awhile but I keep changing my mind on this going back n forth back n forth between lengths so don't hold me to it LOL.

I was MBL this time last year and I cut to APL - For no reason by the way :ohwell:, and it wasn't the first time I did something like that...:drunk:

LOL, that's exactly what I see myself as. It's been my goal from the beginning. I want a beautiful silver TBL or longer braid when I take my final siesta.

:crystalba The Jedi mind trick worked :D

I don't think I'll ever cut my hair short again, unless I get sick :crossfingers: or my hair gets really thin after menopause.
