Wash on Saturday....deep condition w/o heat during the day. Just let it sit. Then rollerset it and airdry overnight. Then just hot curl it in the morning.

Every time I try to do my hair, I get too exhausted to finish. Last night, I didn't even get a chance to rinse out my conditioner.

I guess I will try to wash it out tonight then roller set my hair in large rollers because I miss having flat, straight hair.

- Rinse out conditioner. Apply Silk Dreams mixed with Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion sparingly; roller set; dry under hooded dryer.
- Apply a small amount of Pureology serum (I forgot the name of it but it is soooo expensive), Flat iron new growth. Wrap hair.

Took down crochet braids and will prep my hair to get new braids put in on Sunday, so in addition to washing and conditioning, I'll do a coconut oil treatment, a dark rinse and a roller set to straighten my hair for re-braiding.

Got my hair done today... a flatiron & trim. Due to my stylist of more than 10yrs. flaking out on me when I needed a trim back in January (and being flaky with others over the past 1-1.5 yrs) & having to try to find another one, I've had to cut from BSL back to APL. Now that I have a new competent stylist I can regularly get my hair trimmed/dusted every 3-4 months. I will be seeing him again in May & June as I am in a wedding the end of June. My hair is silky, swingy and full of bounce. I am back on track. He finished my hair in less than 2 hrs and had a plesant demeanor as did the salon.

Have you ever tried Joico K-Pak DPR? If so, how does it compare to the Keracare? I'm curious about the Keracare due to the hydrolyzed elastin.

So last night, I cowashed, and tried to do a twist out. EPIC FAIL :nono: my hair is too fine, and I beginning to once again realize that, my hair prefers to be straight.

So I today I used Aphogee Texture Wash (ultimate love). After I used Texture Treatment (love) with my HOT cap for 20-30 minutes. Another thing I am beginning to realize is that steaming really does nothing to my hair. After I rinsed, I used the Aphogee Moisture Leave In (love, love, love). Then I sectioned into 4, applied a dime size of CHI Silk Infusion, and used the tension method to blow dry on medium heat. High heat fries my fine strands (another realization, but I have no heat damage). I flat ironed my my Sedu Revolution with one pass. I used some SM High Shine Glosser on my hair, and Komaza Coconut Lotion around my hairline. I placed in a pony, and trimmed about 1/2". From now on, I will use the Aphogee Curlific only, and flat iron my hair afterwards.

This turned into a "what did I do/random thought" post :look:

Sorry! I have never tried the Joice DPR. The only other hard protein treatment that I have tried is the Aphogee 2-step which I HATE. The Keracare doesn't smell, goes on smooth, it isn't messy, and after I rinse, my hair isn't nearly as scary-looking (and feeling) as it is when I used the Aphogee. The consistency is like a thin gel rather than a runny liquid. The Keracare is a bit expensive, but since a little goes a long way, and you don't use it often, a bottle lasted over a year for me.

FYI-Some people say that the Nexxus Emergencee is comparable to the Keracare Reconstructor; however, I have never tried it. Hope this helps!
