Okay. First I didn't know that I was spending so much until I pull out the calculator. What happen to being able to count on your fingers and in your head? Well, I am a little over $1200 for 2008. No more and hopefully a little less. I'll just make sure I don't spend more than $100 per month to keep me in line. I just got promoted at work and I already need a raise in 2008.

I don't know if I want to know

restock proteins 2 times $120.00
restock oils 2 times $75.00
restock essential oils $50.00
shower filter replacements 2 times @ $65 each $130.00
phytojoba shampoo 6@ $25 each $150.00
phytojoba conditioner 3 @ $45 each $135.00
icon moisture mask 5 @ $17.00 $85.00
ojon restorative treatment 1 @ $55.00
phytospecific relaxer 5 @ $60 each $300.00
pibbs 514 1 @ $250 (estimate)
misc $100.00

$1450.00

I was right, I did not want to know. You know, it never seems like that much money when you don't look at the prices and costs all at once.

ETA - I forgot two bottles of BT

Dang, you're right! I use Phyto also and I just changed my relaxer schedule from 47 weeks to 16!

Sad to say that I can't think of a hair budget right now. I know that I'm too quick to buy something and deviate from the budget, so I just go with the flow and try to control my inner PJ:grin:

I didn't include hair accessories since I see them as fashion items...and I kinda don't have a budget for that:look:

****I 4got EVOO so add maybe 10 bucks to the total****

I plan to spend over $1,300 in 2008 on haircare/styling. 2008 will be a critical year - lengthwise- so I think it is worth it!

Products/Supplies - $300 ($25/mo.)
Professional Braiding - $1,000 ($200 -5 times)

Yeah, 2008 is a critical year for me as well.
I don't know what I will spend because i'm afraid to calculate my needs.
So far I've got a full 1/2 inch of hair and i think it's from taking vivi, so I may drop $600 on my years supply.
Then i need my other supplements that I put in my vitamin fruit smoothies, then I need my cans of tuna fish and met rx protien bars for the year.
Probably about 1k to 1.5k.

I plan to spend less than $500/year in 2008. This was my year of experimenting & stocking up on supplies. If I go over, I can take it out of the grocery budget, olive oil, yogurt, coconut milk, eggs & honey:grin:

i picked $500-$1000 because this will include not only my personal products, but also my visits to the salon because thats where i get relaxers.

also, i wear braids often, and i cant do them :).

so that should cover it....i hope, LOL!

I would say my hair budget for 2008 will be $500 or less...I spent way too much money this year!

I voted $501-$1000. This counts my salon visits for the four touch-ups I will need in '08 (that counts gas and parking as well as tips too) and the few miscellaneous products I will buy for me and DD. It's way closer to $501 than $1000. This being my first year on LHCF, I spent major cash being a PJ. Now I have to use up all the stuff I bought. I may go into '09 too since I've bought so much since May.

*I* will be spending less than $500 on hair products in 08. I will, however, hit up SO and the relatives for a PIBBS :look:

$0 my mom takes me on her restocking adventures and always loads me up with professional products because she cant stand the sight of cheap products litering my bathroom.

and its all fine by me
