I was wondering if your hair is healthy and not a overprocessed 4b can your do a long transition w/out the bc. I want to cut an inch every 3 months. BTW my hair is fine to medium and measures as thick.TIA

I think you should be fine if the two textures aren't fighting with each other. I just couldn't handle it and chopped a lot off. Take it month by month.

lelee, i'm hangin in there so far so good - i'm also underprocessed by choice. i'm about 10 months (looking at 11 shortly) in and think i can swing this until i've got at least APL or BSL natural hair (or just get sick of looking at it:D). probably 1.5 more years i think.

not sure of my hair type, it ain't silky slinky that's for sure.

keep your moisture way up, keep the comb and brush out of your hands except when necessary, minimize any heat you use 'cept for the bonnet dryers or the occasional trip into the straightzone.

also do you live where it's cold? wintertime weather and the heat from central heating systems, your car, your house is gonna dehydrate your hair like crazy, so watch for that.
