Hair Type

Hey so I'm new to this site and I am trying to achieve (in the short run) below shoulder length hair but the long term goal will always be APL or longer. Where do I find out my hair type so I can sart finding others with hair like me that have achieved some length. Also is there a thread with some acronyms to learn becuz I'm finding myself confused alot of the time

I have also been trying to find the thread with the hair types, but when I put it in the search box I get nothing!!! erplexed
