Congrats! I saw a post the other day and wondered if it was you and said to myself she has lost a lot of weight! Then I was like, maybe that isn't her . You and your hair look beautiful!
@Lucky's Mom Your hair turned out nice. You rinse your hair in aloe vera gel & coconut oil? How do you achieve this? What are your ratios? Are you adding water or something; is thsi for porosity as your final rinse? I may want to try this!
Wow you got it super straight. Congrats on your anniversary and the weight loss. Hard work always pays off.
You look so beautiful and happy!!! Your hair looks great and good job on the weight loss
Hello all!
I rarely post anymore... but I thought some of the vets might want to see where my hair is these days. I don't take progress pics anymore.... and I really don't flat iron often because of my intense workout schedule... I have lost over 60 pounds and looking to lose 25 more or so.
But - I hope these are an inspiration to those who are growing out their natural locks!
ETA: HOW I DID IT I Shampooed with Etae Shampoo ( My only shampoo) Deep conditioned with Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp conditioner ( the only condish I use.... I only have 2 in my stash these days), rinsed with Aloe Vera gel & coconut oil mix...... blow dry with FHI Ceramic Dryer......used Turn up the Heat serum while blow Drying......Flat Ironed with FHI Runway..... NO one touches my hair - but me!
I was soo grateful that my hair came out so beautifully for my 10 year aniversary Party!
Smooches!
Gawgeous!!!!!
Your friends have gorgeous hair too
Hi Lucky's Mom,
I've really missed you. I have always loved your hair and it's doing so well. Congratulations on your weight loss and school. I'm sorry to hear about your father. I used to watch your youtube channel also.
I hope you'll visit more often.
Hey sweets!!!!!
I started using this Aloe mix a long time ago ( I think I posted it here ages ago...too)
Anyway...I looked at a couple of Conditioners that contained these 2 ingredients.... I also use Aloe Juice pretty much daily for everything... ( leave in conditioner, for slicking hair, etc....) Also have been using this for years....
Those two items...Aloe gel ( Food Grade) with coconut oil have worked well for me.... Rinses beautifully for my hair. It feels soft, it helps to get any residue out after I deep condition. I also spread a little on my face Feels wonderful!
I don't use any ratios. I mix a little oil into my aloe....Mix..... And use. I put it on my hair in sections.....Wait a couple minutes - then rinse.. I don't know about porosity and all that crap. I really don't care. Workouts have helped my hair.... All the other stuff, I don't pay attention and I don't have time to think of it. I use Aphogee - thanks to @Chicoro - every three or four months. I marrk the bottle for the dates.
I also use this Aloe mix as a detangler I add a tsp of Wheat germ oil when I detangle. =) It is cheaper than my beloved Oyin Honey Hemp....
I hope that helps. I use this and distilled water as my final rinse....this proves to give me an excellent blow dry and Super shiney flat iron. My hair gets SOFTER And SOFTER Each day!
