Sidestepping the "lynch mob"
Very good sermon... He uses nothing but the Word of God to back him up. I agree that being a Christian is a way of life not a "profession" or an emotion.
1 John would challenge anyone who really doesn't believe that Jesus is the son of God or who just pays lip service. Something he didn't stress that is mentioned in 1 John 4.. is that God is love and anyone who loves is born of God and knows him. I can't say I love God and can't stand some people or don't love my neighbor...that makes me a false Christian. I had to come to terms with that. Jesus loved even those who killed him... so we have the perfect example of love. Thank God for his grace for I'm a work in progress!!
