Indian hair regimens??

Has anyone adopted a partial or full blown Indian hair care regimen? I'm interested in trying something new since nothing else is really working right now. I'm eager to incorporate Oil Washes and I got some tips for LHC. Hope it's okay if I post them here...

- No chemicals/heat
- No dyes
- No brushing
- Coconut Oil every alternate day
- Wash with pure shikakai and reetha
- Braid everyday
- Henna+egg every month (on hair)

I'm going to try the Shikaikai and reetha wash as well as the Henna+egg treatment as well. Any other tips?

Amla oil is great. It conditions and gives hair a nice cool brunette tone. It can also be used in powder form too in henna mixes.

I just picked up some Alma oil today from the indian run health food store...it was so cheap. I used a few drops in a concoction I made

i do henna/amla treatments monthly.

i use amla/shikakai/aritha/hibiscus/neem/brahmi powder infused in coconut oil on my hair/scalp.

i just started doing amla/shikakai/aritha/neem/brahmi infused in water for washes.

my natural hair loved Jason & Elucence shampoos, but my texlaxed hair doesn't seem to like them as much. so i'm gonna try the powder washes to see how they work out.

I've been reading Henna threads but I'm still trying to figure out the perfect recipe for the most lucious jet black hair possible before I begin. I'm probably going to use Henna treatments for my strengthening.
