jet black hair and light skin

I think black hair looks good on almost everyone. :)

My natural color is black and I think it goes nicely with my skin tone. I can't imagine having lighter colored hair.

I think it depends...it looks great on light skinned ppl like Kimora and Cassie and even on less light skinned girls like my gurl Amerie, but Beyonce with black hair:confused: not a good look.

I'm light and i used to dye my hair jet black..won't be doing that anymore because 1.) I think that color can make you look harsh/old; 2.)
if you color your hair black excessively it can give a "greenish" tint

I tend to look washed out in the winter, I'll be adding bronz high lights in the next week(home job)

I am very, very light (some have described me as beige:eek: ) with green eyes and I have very dark hair. I can't go jet black but, I go as dark as I can w/o it being jet or blue-black. I think is looks good but, during the winter when I turn into casper it looks a bit hard. During the summer when I tan :burn: it looks very exotic I am told. I thought about going light for the summer but, I have hair issues and I think I need to stick with the henna-indigo combo.

I'm very light skinned and was born with black hair.

I wear my hair natural....no chemicals, no colour.

Of course it suits me - its what God gave me. :)

I'm light-skinned with naturally jet black hair. As a baby, I used to look like a ghost....
You can't even see my face in some of my baby photos bc of the flash:perplexed:ohwell::confused:

I'm not even light and i now dislike how the jet black i died my hair to makes me look washed out.

I dye my hair natural black and then put a jet black rinse over it for additional depth and shine. I love how it looks. I tried the blond thing, golden brown thing, medium brown thing...and black is the only thing that makes my hair look so luscious and beautiful.

Plus I think it makes my imperfect skin look much healthier.

Yeah black is definately good at helping the hair appear more healthy. I think that for a woman to wear blonde, no matter what race she is, needs to have EXTREMELY healthy hair to pull it off. I don't like blonde because I think blonde hair reflects light the least from what I heard.

Love it! As a matter of fact I love jet black hair on every skin tone. :ohwell:

I am also light skin with Oriental Black (bigen) Hair. Check my pick in my profile! I think I look pretty nice with it. That is why I keep putting it in

It worked for Rhianna. She looks 1000% better with her jet black hair.
Heck, I'm not not LS but I just recently went jet black myself. Just because I wanted to see what it looked like. I love it. I think it looks exotic when its shiny and your hair is healthy.

I like it. My hair is naturally black, but I used henna on it. I miss my all black hair. Maybe, you should try on a wig that's black to see how you like it.

I used to have jet black hair when I did rinses and I did love the look. My hair was so shiny and healthly looking!!!! I think jet black hair looks good on anybody.

I have jet black hair, but I am also dark. But my hair has the shine that most aim for. I think you this hair color looks good on anyone. It is a nice classic look.

Agreed!!!

third that motion ..

I look washed out with jet black hair ...it really depends on your pigment ....I needs me some color ...when I put on a jet black wig ..I look like a witch:nono:.

But I have seen some gorgeous heads of black hair on LHCF

It looks fab to me. It's more flattering than lighter shades on lighter people that I've seen. I dunno what it is but raven hair is just flattering on caramels, yellows, reds and darker browns. Maybe it's the contrast of light and dark that I find attractive.

I went jet black about two years ago and loved it! It was weird though because the "semi-permanent" color turned out to mean permanent for me, and I ended up having to grow the color out. :ohwell: It is a flattering look though, I think the only people who can't pull it off are extremely pale white people because they just look goth, and that's not cute to me. :nono:

I've gone black/blue before.... I do love the shade but only with a tan.. I'm really light so unless I have a tan I look washed out.. IA that hair looks really healthier black and I'd love to go black/blue again as it really brings out my eyes

I think it has more to do with your undertones rather than your actual skin color. I have two different light skinned friends, who have or had jet black hair. One looked washed out and pale, and the others looked fantastic on her. It may not be the best look for someone with, say, yellow undertones(example) JMO.

I love it! Like Sylver-2 said, very exotic looking!
I heard that coloring your hair black is more healthy than the other colors. TRUE??

Back when I had a relaxer it washed out my color (I had that dusty brown) so I had my hair dyed jet black. Honestly, the color it didn't look all that hot. I was told that it was too dark.
Now that my hair is natural it is naturally a richer darker color- but not quite jet black. I'll settle for the natural color over the super black.

Thanks for bumping this thread. I've been considering going black but I had no idea about undertones or eyebrow matching. Maybe a really dark brown would be a safer bet.
